Big Blue almost Blew it

Stupid cold. Maybe it's the plague. Who knows? We are annoyed, miffed, offput even, and generally unhappy with medical science. Why aren't these stupid cold pills working?! MotherF!@#$@!. We're in the completely mistrusting medical science stage of this cold. The bastards are trying to kill us.

Giants 22, Packers 21. The Giants hadn't won a prime-time game in like, a decade, it seems. So dang. The Tommy Devito saga continues. 'Thank you, Tommy! Thank you!' said Saquan Barkley who fumbled late. Next year Devito will have a job somewhere. Enjoy the ride now. The Giants have two games against the Eagles. These will be the Eagles' 'get right' games where reality will assert itself with extreme prejudice.

Claudine Gay to remain at Harvard, so The New York Post reports. The headline here is so obvious it writes itself. Claudine is a Jew hater and a plagiarist. For the record, plagiarism isn't easy. It's not about forgetting quote marks or citations. Plagiarism is hard to do. One must try. In 20 years of professional writing, we have never plagiarized anything, intentionally or otherwise. Harvard is a disgrace and Claudine Gay is unfit to lead.

What Will's Watching: Lady Ballers. A silly, stupid and dumb comedy reminiscent of the silly, stupid and dumb comedies of the 2000s like, say, Blades of Glory or Anchor Man. Of course Hollywood no longer knows how to make a comedy. Daily Wire honcho Jeremy Boreing carries the movie as Rob Gibson, a washed up basketball coach trying to return to glory with his washed up players pretending to be trans women. The women leads are actually the best and most compelling characters. These include an ambitious and psychotic journalist, Rob's ex-wife, and Brett Cooper as a news anchor. Cooper seems to be having the most fun here.  The women in your life will roll their eyes. 3/4

Will's third good idea for the week of 12/10/23: Son of Charlemagne. Middle Daughter has a test on Charlemagne today....rather than split his kingdom between his three sons, Charlemagne leaves the entire kingdom to one strongman son, who spends the next 20 years waging unremitting war against his enemies with the might of the western empire behind him, especially the Vikings. I could get that ready to write by 1 January. Might bring in some new readers....thoughts? [Baaaah! Readers want carrier battlegroups and missile silos from you-Ed].

If you'll excuse us, we're going to go read Part III of World War 1990: The Final Storm.
