Israeli Poll Whip Around

The news makes us sick and fills us with dread and despair and anger. We feel nothing but powerlessness. [But you said you feel dread, despair and anger in the previous sentence-Ed]. That too.

This is exactly right, 'A new poll from the Israel Democracy Institute finds that over two-thirds of Israelis (69%) believe elections should be held as soon as the war is over — 66% of Jewish Israelis and 84% of Arab Israelis.' Ahhhh, but what if the war extends to Lebanon and Hezbollah, which it almost certainly will? To put it another way, when does this war end?

In the meantime another poll shows bad news for Bibi. 'Poll shows backing for Netanyahu imploding, Gantz taking the rudder,' reads the headline. The poll shows 48% of respondents want National Unity head Benny Gantz, while 29% want Netanyahu. Gantz's is the centrist party that has no interest in 'peace' with Gazans or West Bank Persons and wants to do something about Haredi religious exemptions in Israel.

And yet another poll shows nothing but doom for Bibi and Likud. 'Gantz’s National Unity party would soar to 37 seats from its current 12, the survey found, while Netanyahu’s Likud would crash to 18 from its current 32, though that would still make it the second-largest party.' Though the war is going well, Israelis certainly blame Bibi and his government for the 10/7 attack, and rightfully so. Also, are people just tired of seeing Bibi? Win the war, Bibi. Win the war and become the Lion of Judah, the slayer of Hamas and Hezbollah. Then step aside.

Okay, our little nuclear war short story about a single mom just trying to pick up her kids is moving along. We'll keep it moving.

We have received the reformatted MS of World War 1990: The Final Storm. This is it, right? Right? [Right-Ed].

We've no idea how to write the final attack on the Soviet Northern Fleet in World War 1990: Norway.

Monday Metal - on Tuesday. Middle Daughter loves The Voice. Watching it with her last night, we saw this rendition of Boston's More than a Feeling by Jacquie Roar. Boy does she ever nail that bridge to the final verse, which is the whole point of that song. Just stunning.
