Rainy Day at the Beach

After a day of glorious sun, it looks like we're in for a rainy, overcast day. Mother!@#$@! It'll be fine. The girls will shop, we'll take them to the arcade, and we'll sit out on the deck in the breeze and do some work. Looks like we may be around to watch Prime Minister Netanyahu's fourth(!) congressional address. 

We're not going to get into a long digression about polls. And we ain't spending the next three months talking about polls and elections. We will say even the post-dropout polls look pretty good for Trump. But three things. First, nobody knows what the electorate will look like because of early voting and ballot harvesting. Second, nobody has explained to this blog how Trump and the GOP plan to Stop the Steal this time. And D, in the last month we've had three major election plot turns. So don't tell us what's going to happen.* 

We'll submit Ambush at Lingayen Gulf today. In case it's not accepted, we've been thinking about other alternate WWII stories. We have: Japanese invasion of Australia. They looked into it, decided an invasion would require 12 divisions, present major logistical challenges, and Aussies would be the last sorts they'd want to fight. Imagine the Japanese in the Outback. There you go. We envision a rancher stepping out on his veranda and seeing a Japanese convoy approach. 

We also have: Japanese invasion of Oahu. Don't fool yourselves, people. The Japanese could have taken Oahu if they really wanted to. Again, doing so would have presented considerable logistical problems.  Delaying action on the North Shore? House to house fighting in Honolulu? 

We also have, vaguely: Something with the Italian Navy...Germans enter Jerusalem. Post ideas if you got 'em.

*And DO NOT underestimate the Dem/Media Complex campaign to turn Kamala into a girl boss, yas queen, brat. Bring your A-game, Trump/GOP. Bring your A-game.
