IYKYK.
Happy Thanksgiving...not you, Canada. You have your own inferior metric system Thanksgiving.
You didn't hear it from me but stay away from the Pinedale Shopping Center today.
More blessed rain this morning.
The ceasefire in Lebanon is holding. You're goddamn right it's holding. We doubt very seriously that any kind of Gaza ceasefire is coming. Why would the Israelis agree to anything? [What of the hostages?-Ed] What makes you think releasing the hostages is anything but a secondary goal? [That's cruel-Ed]. So was Hiroshima.
Book sales are an art, not a science. Tuesday was our best book sales day in a month. Wednesday was the worst.
So we did some research yesterday for a potential story about the USN nuking the Kola Peninsula in The Great Nuclear War of 1975 universe. Previously we wrote that three carrier battlegroups were in the Norwegian Sea, based on the Ranger, Independence, and Saratoga. The Saratoga was lost.
We don't care that the Saratoga was in the Med in 1975. We already wrote it. We've opened up a techothriller can of worms as we've learned most of what we need to know about each carrier. Where they were at the time, what their airwings were like, who skippered them. Etc Etc. Here's an example.
Anyway, we're off. Wish us luck as we cross the dread Hudson River to celebrate Thanksgiving at our dingbat sister's house.
I can't help but think of wkrp in Cincinnati every Thanksgiving
