Trump, the Second Day

Good frigid morning, Stroock's Books people. As we write this the outside temperature is 4 degrees, Fahrenheit obviously.

Don't worry, Canada, soon you'll be using the proper American temperature units of measure. Sooner than you think. You didn't hear it from this blog, but your liberation begins tonight, Operation Sleepy Beaver is a go.**

Facebook tells us that 15 years ago today we parked in the Raritan Valley Community College faculty lot for the first time. It's been almost ten years now. Bastards.

What a great day. We won so much that by the end of Trump's first day in office we were already sick of winning. We've no idea where to begin so we won't. We'll just say it again, what a great day.

Also, the firings will continue until morale improves.

Talk about a win, Trump had some Israeli hostages by his side last night. More practically, he defunded UNWRA, lifted sanctions on Israelis, re-sanctioned the International Criminal Court, and lifted restrictions on weapons deliveries to Israel.

And by the way, the Israelis have launched a large-scale anti-terror operation in Jenin, Operation Iron Walls.*  It's almost as if the Israelis had good reason for wanting quiet in Gaza and all they had to do to secure that quiet was agree to get some of their people back. The imams are right, the Jew is clever. Do note that 'Palestinian' Authority forces withdrew. PA Ran Away. More likely Mahmood Abbas hopes the Israelis will take care of his Hamas problem for him.

Exit question: could the PA, as a practical matter, replace Hamas in Gaza?  Reminder, there's not a whole lot left to do, militarily, to Gaza. This blog has no patience for the 'we wuz betrayed' doomsayers. Are you such a loser that you don't know you've won?

*Judea/Samaria is the next front.
