Monday Post Without Title

Good morning Stroock's Books cinephiles. Oscars? We know nothing of these films. Did the movie with the bad tweet bro pretending to be a chick win? It didn't? Well, we guess that's something.  

Winter is not quite done. The temp is 18 degrees as we write this.

Oh look, with Assad out of Syria, Putin is moving closer to Israel. Ynet reports that Moscow has invited Israel to attend the annual 9 May Victory Day Parade. Also, 'Ynet has learned that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dispatched his military secretary, Maj. Gen. Roman Gofman, to Moscow in recent days for a series of security and diplomatic meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation while safeguarding Israel’s strategic interests.' Russia hates Islamists as much Israel and the two previously worked closely together against Isis. The 42 day ceasefire continues to pay enormous dividends. 

At the New York Post, David Harsanyi makes the case for and against Mitch McConnell. We agree and disagree with Harsanyi's case. Do note we are generally less hostile to Mitch McConnell than a lot of MAGA hats.  McConnell's greatest legacy is the three Supreme Court justices he muscled through the senate. McConnell's second greatest legacy is tying the senate in knots during the Obama Regime. But McConnell hated the Tea Party and hated Trump more and is certainly a Swamp Creature. A lot of the Obama era fights were performative. When McConnell ran the senate the left marched on and the government grew. It's long past time Mitch returned to Kentucky. 

Hot Air, as is its wont, has a sharp analysis of the Zlensky White House fiasco and the general situation. As far as the Euros go the slam us and then insist we should lead the way on Project Ukraine. We experience this every morning when we open FB and see a Euro friend has set us yet another article about how awful Trump, or Vance, or Rubio is, after trying to convince us to support Ukraine. 

We were remis in not marking the anniversary of Andrew Breitbart's death on the first of the month. Here's Breitbart on their founder. Here we are on the tenth anniversary of his passing. Oh, those tricks we played on RVCC's campus? We held a pro-Israel rally, and followed behind a Michael Brown protest passing out pics of him beating up that Indian convenience store owner. I am Andrew Breitbart. 

Doge Report: Yesterday we worked on the second Battle of Derry chapter, reading over three scenes, writing one scene, and rewriting another. Things are much better now. We read another chapter of the edited War Night MS. Plugging along there. 

This week we'll get the second battle of Derry chapter written and finish editing War Night.
