Argh...woke up with a gout attack at about two AM. It's subsiding but still hurts. We blame Canada. Bastards. 

Indo-Pak, despite our locale we've no insights. Look, folks, when we hear about the Kashmir issue, we start thinking about DADGAD tuning. If you know, you know. 

The Israelis obliterated Hodeidah Port, Sanaa airport, and couple of cement factories for kicks. The Houthis have certainly maximized their FAFO score: 5/5. The imams are right. The Jew is clever. And his reach is long. 

Force is the only language the Arab understands. He doesn't respect restraint. He doesn't even know what restraint is as he demonstrated on October 7th. The Arab will always and will only respect the Strongest Tribe.

What to make of the US/Houthi ceasefire? This is good, no? This is Houthi capitulation, yes? We've beaten into submission, right? Some fools are saying the ceasefire will allow the Houthis to rearm. It's always the same playbook with these people. The Houthis can rearm all they want. Who cares so long as they don't close the Red Sea? As for Houthis attack on the Israelis, see above. 

So....20 years ago this morning we moved into our home. We'd closed the day before. After signing the paperwork we brought over a carload of delicate things, fancy China and the like. We unlocked the door and carried Mrs. Stroock across the threshold.

Since then we've painted, gotten the downstairs bath redone, redid the basement after a flood, added a back deck, hardwood floors, two new sets of kitchen and laundry appliances...three children. We paid off the 30-year mortgage last year. 

You know how you people in the rest of the country have a blessed and well earned break from political ads polluting the airwaves? Not us. This November we have a gubernatorial election in New Jersey and a mayoral election across the Hudson in NYC. To that end we can't go on YouTube without seeing ads for the Democrat and Republican New Jersey gubernatorial primaries. 

And across the Hudson the NY Post reports on opposition ad buys against disgraced former New York governor Andrew Cuomo. Killer Andy C. sent thousands of elderly to the grave via his Wuhan Virus from Wuhan China policies. Of course Killer Andy C is the front runner. Stroock's Books endorses current mayor Eric Adams. Loser. Killer Andy C. is almost certainly the next mayor of NYC. New York City deserves him. 

DOGE report: We wrote two scenes with Brigadier Ritchie and set the stage for the scene that comes between the two. Later we spent yet more time thinking about nuclear war stories.
