 'Sir, just drop your pants a little...not all the way!'

Thank you cortisone. Thank you for all you've done for me. Yesterday at about 3:15 PM we said fuck it. Fuck it, we're going to the urgent care. Mind you this is the same place that diagnosed our gout a decade ago and later in the year told us, 'Sir, those chest pains mean you need to hit the ER...'

When we pulled up to the urgent care we got a parking spot right in front of the door. A good sign. We walked in and the waiting room was ours. We filled out paperwork and were on the exam table 10 minutes after our arrival. Try that in Canada! The doctor was impressed with the size and redness of the bump on our big toe joint, and indicated such by squeezing it repeatedly. 'Wow, that's a big one,' she said. 'Thank you!' we replied. 'We were referring to the gout swelling...sir.' 

[He's making that up. Will wants you to think he was seen by a beautiful doctor in her mid-30s, her long blonde hair pulled up in bun with strands falling in front of her glasses.  The doctor was, in fact, the same middle-aged  male professional that diagnosed both the conditions noted above Knobhead-Ed]. And?

Anywho, we got the shot and RX for an anti-inflammatory. We slept like a normal human last night. This morning the toe is still swelled up but the pain is gone. No limp. We're feeling much better now [So don't be a moron. Let it heal another day before going to the gym-Ed]. Yes mummy.

Exit question: why the hell can't we keep ourselves from getting gout? Mother!@#$@!.

Related...OMG we got the bloodwork back and...it's a thing of beauty. Glucose down to 5.6 which is right on the prediabetic line. Sugar is high but sodium is militantly normal right there in the middle of the green zone. Triglycerides dropped from 382 to 204 which is just over the high line. You mean to tell us we're not going to drop dead from a heart attack? We admit this feels good after a week of inflammation. 

Middle East news...yawn...Gaza is starving! Yeah, sure it is. Dear Penthouse, I know this sounds made up, but I swear every word is true...Nevertheless this is Hamas/Europe's diplomatic offensive. And it's working. Meanwhile, Netanyahu moves ever sideways, as is his wont. He will move sideways until he doesn't. It's frustrating, but this strategy has paid great dividends during this long war. But it's hard not to say cut a deal or win the war Bibi. By the way, latest poll has Naftali Bennett's coalition pulling 61 seats to Bibi's 49. 

France will recognize 'Palestine'. Big surprise. We can't really blame Macron. He has millions of restive Muslims to placate. Britian too! Marco Rubio reject's France's efforts. Good man. Heh, the Krauts aren't joining them. 

The US and Israel have pulled their negotiating teams from Doha. Steve Witkoff is pissed. If Trump is pissed, watch out. It seems Trump is pissed.

DOGE report: we were annoyed and distracted yesterday by our toe, bloodwork appointment, and then urgent care visit. Still we managed to tidy up the Battle of Derry a bit. Progress was made. Things were fixed. We're in pretty good shape.
