Good Sunday morn Christian reader(s) of Stroocks books. Not the Presbyterians, though. You guys suck [What the hell?-Ed]. Shut up, Ed. You're C of E.
Our workout yesterday left us tired and sore. We can feel a touch of bursitis in our right knee. Time for a break?
Last night we had Fondue for dinner, a Stroock family tradition dating back to the 70's, and we have the 70s era Fondue cookbook to prove it. Then we settled in for an evening of Rutgers football. Final score, Oregon 56, Rutgers 10. Needless to say, it wasn't even that close.
This evening the neighborhood is throwing the annual Chindian Diwali block party with food, fun, and fireworks.
Ceasefire over? The Gazans have jeopardized Trump's Nobel Peace Prize. Bad idea. 'Hello, Bibi? Yeah, this is Donald Trump. Listen, I don't like Hamas firing on your troops any more than you do. Bibi, do what you gotta do. I gotta go.' It appears the Israelis hit a major bunker complex in Nuseirat that was previously off limits. Among other targets.
Will's Good Idea for the Week of 10/19/25....we'll be going back through World War 1990: The Managua Campaign this week. In theory we'll be finished and free to begin ruminating on the 2nd half of the novel.
However, we can't really finish The Managua Campaign till we finish Thatcher's War. We'll try to write a few scenes this week that wraps up the Battle of Ardee.
