Cocaine Mitch has that Gleam in his Eye

Ho Lee Fuk is not my dry cleaner. No, it's my confusion at Nancy Pelosi' actions. No, confusion isn't the right word. Exasperation? Stupefaction? Stupid?

You tell me, people. You tell me. Because...what the fuck, man?!Having given us this impeachment travesty Mean Granny has delayed sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate, for some reason.

Hotair is saying this better than we can:

Otherwise, though, count me with Allahpundit in being utterly mystified as to what Pelosi thinks she’s accomplishing with a delay tactic. The longer this goes on, the more it undermines House Democrats’ insistence on the fierce urgency of now rather than following normal due process on the witnesses Schumer wants to call. It pushes a trial more and more into the Democratic presidential (and congressional!) primaries, which begin in February, interfering with their candidates’ messaging and firing up Trump’s supporters instead. All of this will take place while there is no way at all that Democrats will get 20 Senate Republicans to cross over and support removal on the basis of these articles, and likely will lose a couple of their own in the Senate.
Let me explain this to Democrats reading this. You goddamn people know who you are. The longer this goes on, the worse it gets for the Dems.

Maybe McConnell rolls up a hundred, snorts a line at a fancy 60th floor Wall Street brockerage restaurant, Mathew McConaughey style, and says, 'Ok, Bitch. You wanna drag this shit out? Fine. Unlimited witness! We'll start with Hunter and Joe Biden. You're aready vulnerbale caucus can spent weeks, no months, answering awkard questions about the disaster you've dumped in their laps.' Then he lights a fat splif, puts on a little Cam'ron* and calls it an impeachment.

The Wave

Hotair notices what we've noticed. Quoth the headline: New generic ballot polling: Midterms shaping up to be either catastrophic for the GOP or … possibly not too bad!

It really comes down to your world view. Either Trump is a fearful* mess, or he is the successful MAGA president.

Look around. What are the circumstances?  We have great economic news, foreign policy successes...

*See what I did there?

Back to our Regularly Scheduled Ms. Venezuela

President Trump had a bad press conference but by Monday the media will move on to the next Trump Outrage du week.

Meanwhile Hotair tells us that the Dem's next Brown Savior, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Ms. Venezuela) is dumb as an over-educated Millennial.

Vu entrĂ©es,  Everything Ms. Venezuela knows about the Middle East she learned from FB Memes.

Vu desert, she thinks people holding two jobs is bringing the unemployment rate down.

Oh good golly Ms. Molly, this is the face of young Democrats.

Ms. Venezuela went to Yorktown High, just a few districts over from our own Hen Hud*. She can't be this stupid, can she? This is 3D chess, it has to be.

The Dems better hope so, becuase this 28 year old Westchester girl is driving the Democrat Party....INSANE!**

*Hey, there were some real blunt-skulls at Hen Hud, see for example the Pointers of Verplanck. Also, the author. 850 SATS. That's combined.
**Thanks, Crazy Eddy.

Circumstances, Ideas, Candidataes: Tennessee Edition

Via Hotair we learn that Tennessee Republican Bob Corker may cancel his retirement from the Senate because polls show current GOP frontrunner Marsha Blackburn is losing to former Dem governor Phill Bredesen. Hotair says:

Well, it’s just one poll. Bredesen doesn’t really stand a chance in ruby-red Tennessee, does he? Don’t be so sure, wrote elections analyst David Byler in the Weekly Standard last month. Between his name recognition as a former governor and a national climate that favors Democrats, Bredesen will be competitive:
Phil Bredesen was a popular two-term governor. In essence he complies with one of Stroock's three laws of winning elections: Bredesen is a good candidate. However the circumstances should be terrible for Bredesen and we can't imagine how he's going to square Nancy Pelosi's ideas with the TN electorate.

But don't get cocky, as Tennessee native Instapundit likes to say. That's a competitive race.
