Sunday Various

It's Valentines Day. We got Mrs. Stroock the same thing we get her every year, being the best husband and father we can be within reason. Later we're going to look at appliances (don't even think about it).

Back to the gym and it was glorious. Forty minutes on the treadmill at 3.5. We made ourselves go from 30 to 40. Next time we'll reel off that last five minutes. Think of how much it hurts now, and how great it will feel at 45. Then we lifted weights. We felt great all day. The feet are in good shape.

We should probably comment on the Dem's disastrous day...

Dems head to the can, slip in the stall, whack head on toilet, balance themselves by sticking hand in the bowl, slip on wet floor coming out of stall and fall on the sink, which collapses under their own weight. In the next stall, Mitch McConnel leans over and licks his nuts. Outside, seven GOP senators unzip.

How does one solve a problem like Mitch McConnell? on the one hand, judges, on the other...This is disloyalty of the Nikki Haley kind. We were a few days away from writing a post about how deadly a combination a Rubio/Haley ticket would be. Glad we didn't write it. Little Marco is working on gun control legislation, we hear. Yeah, sorry, no. Disloyalty to Trump is disloyalty to Will. McConnel's Cocaine Mitch status is hereby revoked.

One of our fellow North Americans commented to us yesterday that the Dems are going to keep trying to get Trump. Why yes, yes they are. It's almost as if the Dems want a war.* They're deranged that's just all there is to it. Is there anyone in the White House to say, 'Guys, wouldn't you rather work on the Green Nude Eel?' This blog's support for GOP candidates in 2022 is contingent upon those candidates promising to impeach Joe Biden (or '47) in 2023 and remove key Dem members from their committee assignments. We suspect tens of millions of Deplorables feel the same.

Yesterday a member of this blog's Confederate contingent (who should know better) made an unfortunate dishwasher joke. Mrs. Stroock has been made aware and is not pleased. We're both in trouble. For foreign readers, the American south is one of the great matriarchies in all human history. Down there the womenfolk rule by batting their eyes and asking you to get a Tupperware container off the top shelf or opening a jar of pimento cheese.

Reading Jerry Pournelle's Mamelukes, we saw a lot of combat sequences that were only 500 words, even less. These moved the plot along nicely. Over time readers may have noticed that our scenes get longer and longer, as we've felt short scenes are missed opportunities. But seeing how well they worked in Mamelukes, maybe we're wrong.

*I'm sorry is that inciteful? Lol, get fucked.

Impeach This

Plaster faced Pelosi and the House Dems are having a self congratulatory circle jerk over impeaching the president. It wasn't enough to impeach Trump once. No, they did it again with a week left in his presidency. That'll show 'em! That's worth an extra shot of vodka and estrogen, isn't it Nancy?

Open a history book you fucking imbeciles. No one thinks the Radical Republicans did the right thing by impeaching Andrew Johnson over the Tenure of Service Act. As far as Clinton goes, well, it was a silly waste of time, wasn't it? Retards.

Cocaine Mitch has already said the Senate won't take up the articles of impeachment. That means the Dems can spend the first part of the new congress dealing with impeachment. They've got two years to do what they want and they're gonna spend weeks (months?) relitigating Trump. The GOPs will have a ball rubbing the Dem's faces in their own toxic BLM/Antifa quotes.  Well played Democrats, well played indeed. You've got something in your hair.

Oh, Liz Cheney (R-Halliburton) voted to impeach the president, did she? That war profiteer's daughter has been working with the Dems for years to keep American troops in Afghanistan. Conservatives in the house are calling for Cheney to be removed from her leadership post. The jokes write themselves. Oh look, a Cheney wants regime change! A Cheney expected she'd be welcomed as a liberator. This blog will donate to whomever primaries that establishment chump-thumper. Cheney dalenda est.

Nancy's Final Days

Just how bad was Pelosi's week?

She sat through Trump's triumphant State of the Union making faces, grinding her dentures, gesticulating toward her caucus and then....then...she almost tragically rips up the official document. Later bloggers found footage of Pelosi 'pre-tearing the docs. It was all an act. A bad one, too.

The next day Trump was acquitted. Then came Pelosi's weekly press conference, a stuttering, sputtering disaster in which she snapped at a reporter and repeated the same ludicrous claims about being sad and prayerful. Does she even realize how this sounds? No of course not.

Good golly, the ads write themselves. They already have.

This is the worst week any speaker has ever had in our lifetime. No other Speaker could survive this. No other Speaker would have the....what's the word...I dunno. Any other Speaker would resign in disgrace. Newt did. Nancy won't, though.

Good.

Impeach This

We really don't know what the Democrats we're thinking. Don't be fooled, this wasn't 3-D chess.

Our best guess is that Schiff told Pelosi it* had the goods on Trump via hoax-blower Eric Ciaramella. Pelosi was already under tremendous pressure from Speaker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to impeach for...something. So she had no choice but to move forward even though, well, the phone call was perfect.

Trump emerges from this hoax stronger than ever. Meanwhile Pelosi, Schif and Nadler are the public faces of the Democrat Party. Think of the ads.

Trump addresses the nation at noon today. Supposedly he's going to speak on the whole Russo-Impeachment hoax. We're hoping for pardons.

The Democrats haven't had a week this bad since Appomatox, and it's not even Friday.

Always trust Trump. Never bet against Trump. And don't get sick of winning.

*You read that right.

Notes, Random and Various

Still no Iowa caucus results, JFC.

John Kerry (D-Paris) is threatening to run for president.

We wonder what stunts Amy Schumer's uncle is planning over the next 36 hours or so.

Based Lindsey Graham is back, promising an investigation into the Ukraine Hoax. It's takes him a while to get going, but never, ever make Lindsey mad.

When Trump gives the SOTU tonight he should hand San Fran Nan a pen.

Trump gets to win tonight and then win again tomorrow when he's acquitted.

Whose got Game? Mitch got Game

Yesterday Nancy Pelosi signs the impeachment articles with a dozen gold pens presented on silver platters, hands them out as souvenirs and then has the articles delivered by a Benny Hill Show cast of clowns. Meanwhile Kamala Harris (D- Under Willie Brown's Desk) is caught yucking it up before putting on her fake solemn face.

As Casey Stengel once remarked, 'Can't anybody play this game?'

Meanwhile Cocaine Mitch is promising 'witness reciprocity', Rand Paul (R-from our mother's ancestral homeland of Kentucky) is threatening GOP squishes that if they vote for Dem witnesses he'll force a vote on Hunter Biden, and Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-the Great State of Tennessee. Go Vols!) says the four Democrat Senators running for president should recuse themselves.

That is some serious game, people. If the Senate GOP were an NFL team they'd be 14-2. Slav Level 9.5/10. They're Joe Torre's New York Yankees, Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls, Tom Brady's New England Patriots, Wayne Gretsky's Edmonton Oilers. European reader(s) should feel free to put FIFA references in the comments below.

Bonus: Senator Martha McSally (R-AZ) tells CNN to get fucked.

Diet Coke or Coke?

Hey, anyone remember the articles of impeachment the House passed three weeks ago? We know we forgot.

A few days ago some fool in the media* was reporting that San Fran Botoxic Nan felt she had rattled President Trump and Senate Majority Leader McConnell. Why bother linking?

By the high sparrow, what are these people thinking?

Trump did business in the toughest media and real-estate environment on the planet, declared bankruptcy and celebrated by finding supermodels and porn starts to schtup. Rattled? Please. Upon passage of the impeachment articles Trump split a diet coke with Vice President Pence, straight man extraordinaire, and whispered, 'Everything is happening exactly as I have foreseen.'

As for McConnell, please. Cocaine Mitch starts his morning with a priority phone call to his suppliers in Bogota, does a line, and then confirms another half dozen judges to the Federal bench. Thanks for nuking the judicial filibuster rules Harriet Reid, thank you, madam.

Red State has the bad news for Dems about the impeachment rules:
As my colleague Nick Arama posted this morning, Mitch McConnell has secured the votes to go ahead and use the same rules that applied in the Clinton impeachment to conduct President Trump’s coming Senate trial. Even Lisa Murkowski is on board after making noise to the contrary during the holiday break.
Everything Red State is true, including the pro-nouns and modifiers.

What more can this blog say? Trump is a filthy liar. He said we'd win so much we'd get sick of it. We are not sick of winning.

*Is there any other kind?

Wither Pelosi, Wither Impeachment

After last week's impeachment article delay fiasco can we please stop saying Nancy Pelosi is some kind of master politician and parliamentary genius?

In 2006 the Dems won the house in the sixth year of the Bush administration, under a faltering economy and in the midst of an unpopular war. If you can't win in that situation you should quit politics and run quilting bee's. The victory, by the way, was engineered by future Obama CoS Rahm Emanuel. In 2010 she muscled Obamacare through and promptly lost the House.

This year she is hostage to AOC and The Squad. A skilled speaker would have smacked them down last spring. Pelosi let Adam Schiff convince her that leaker Eric Ciaramella could bring Trump down. Trump has outmaneuvered Pelosi and Schiff, starting by releasing the transcript which reader(s) know is perfect.

In the Senate, Mitch McConnell publicly wonders why Pelosi even thinks she has leverage here. While Pelosi and the House Dems and Impeachment implode, Cocaine Mitch confirms judges by the dozen. Now there's a master politician.

Quiet! Granny's Stories are on!

How effed are the Dems? This effed:
That's the pic with which the BBC is fronting their impeachment story.

One anticipated the Beeb using a pic of a solemn San Fran Nan, the light shinning down from on high, not that the Commie pervs at the BBC believe in heavenly light.

Instead, there she is, chiding her caucus not to cheer and clap like a mean great aunt upset her nephew's playing is interrupting her stories.

When even the BBC is against you...

Mean Granny Ratchet

Botoxic Nan shows up in black, pretends to care about the constitution, impeaches the president, and then snaps at her caucus not to cheer. Mean Granny.

Pelosi then ludicrously suggests withholding the articles of impeachment until she's satisfied with the rules of the senate trial.

At the same time Trump holds a thunderous rally in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Cocaine Mitch will be speaking at 9:30 AM today. Rumor has it he'll take the floor with a rolled up $100 bill in his lapel.

I have failed to get myself banned from Twitter and have advised staffers of mine own frosh congressman Tom Malinowski to get their resumes in order becuase in just over a year's time they'll be unemployed.

[You said you weren't going to do a play-by-play -Ed]

Yeah, well...

Presidents Impeached, Judges Confirmed

Yaaaaaawwwwwnnnnnnn......Impeachment. This is a Protestant impeachment, by which we meant the outcome is predetermined.

You reader(s) won't be getting a blow by blow recap of events form us. You've all seen the polls. Trump is popular and impeachment is not.

Say hello to Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

McConnell seems to have the senate in line, including the human wet sponge, Mitt Romney (Dufus, Bain Capitol). So we'll have a nice quick trial followed by a nice quick acquittal.

The Democrats say they'll keep investigating in the new year. Please do.

Cocaine Mitch snorts fat lines of Colombian white, acquits presidents and confirms judges. He's all out of coke so today the senate confirms 13 judges.

Give me Impeachment AND give me (Political) Death

Every time the Dems have a hearing about Donald Trump it's a disaster for them. Remember the Mueller hearings earlier this year?

Yesterday was no different. Because the Horowitz report on the FISA abuse stopped short of calling out political bias, the Dems and their media lickspittles kinda sorta had a talking point. Horowitz blew that out of the water by saying he was not inclined to read people's minds. Smart. Also no one should feel vindicated.

Meanwhile we now have two polls of REGISTERED voters that show 51% of the public opposes impeachment. The real number is higher.

Granny Botoxic has set an impeachment vote for next week. The Dem's Christmas present to America, we guess. Pricks. There are 31 frosh Dems in Trump districts. By our count ten of them are already wavering. At this point  It's a race to see if they can hold the caucus together.

We think yes.

The only interesting thing about the Senate trial will be how many Dems vote to acquit. We put the over/under at 3 1/2.

Trump Wins, Beijing Loses

In a weird legislative day, San Fran Nan announced two articles of impeachment and followed this up with a deal on the new North American trade agreement, USMCA. She had to. So far the House Dems have absolutely nothing to campaign on besides impeachment.

The USMCA is a huge win for Trump. The markets will love it, so will employers and so will unions, who pressured Nancy to make the deal.

Most importantly USMCA is a terrible blow to the Chinese trade position. Their imports to the US are down 23% this year and Chairman Xi will be under enormous pressure to finish negotiations. With a roaring economy and USMCA, Trump can afford to walk away from the table. Yesterday was Black Tuesday for Beijing.

Always trust Trump, never bet against Trump, and don't get tired of winning.

Nancy's Kobayashi Maru

By our count four House Dems have said they wouldn't vote to impeach. Eighteen have to defect in order for the vote to fail. The polls look awful for impeachment. Just wait till the public sees Jerold Nadler* (D-Crispy Cream) conduct impeachment hearings. As time advances the polls will look awfuller.

San Fran Botoxic Nan is quite capable of losing a House majority. She ordered moderate House Dems to do a Kamikaze in support of the now failed Obamacare in 2010. Will she do the same now? Will they look at the lesson of 2010 and obey?

Back off Impeachment and the rabid, slobbering base will storm the Hill, and censure ain't gonna get the job done. Pursue impeachment and moderate voters will throw out moderate Dems. She's in the Kobayashi Maru and has no way to re program the computer.

*Second worst Jew in America.

Wither Impeachment

You people watched the hearings. You've seen the polls.

Last week was a disaster for the Dems. The media doesn't know it because they're morons. Do the Dem's?

It is said that Pelosi has the wherewithal to push impeachment through the House. People point out that she forced the House Dems into a Kamikaze mission with Obamacare. But that had a tangible goal: crappy health care. What's the goal this time, a trial in which Cocaine Mitch spends weeks subpoenaing the Bidens, the Clintons, Adam Schiff...?

At this point the wise tactician will say, we've presented the evidence. We won't go forward because of Republican intransigence. Let the people decide next November.

Exit Question: Does San Fran Botox Nan want to be known as the speaker who lost two house majorities? Because if she impeaches she'll be known as the speaker who lost two house majorities.

Yaaaaaawwwwnnnnnn

We know what the Democrats are thinking with these hearings because we thought the same thing about hearings during Bill's impeachment. Get things out in the open, show the public what happened and opinion will swing in our favor.

It didn't and it won't.

Maybe today's testimony will change things, but we doubt it.

These things are boring as hell and the ratings suck. We switched to Fixer-Upper. We interrupt this public affairs program to bring you really beautiful women flipping houses...mmmm Joanna Gaines...my sweet sultry Lebanese-American temptress. Also, Christina el Moussa...

Beats staring at Nancy Pelosi.

Schiff to Pelosi: What me, Kamakaze?

So the Dems have passed their impeachment rules. Not one GOP broke ranks. Nor will they.

USA Today/Suffolk finds only 37% want impeachment. The NYTs (!) found 51% in battleground states are against impeachment. That's all they could fake up. The real number is much higher.

As this thing gets weirder those numbers will get worse for Democrats.

As the Dems impeach, normal Americans watched the World Series last night and are getting ready for Halloween.

Exit number: 351. Three-hundred-and-fifty-one is the number of electoral votes Trump will win next year.

Lynching a Boost to Trump

The Dem lynch mob hopes that impeaching Trump will weaken him in next year's election.

Sorry, Dem ladies, soy boys and those who haven't made up their mind, it will only make Trump stronger.

Throughout 1998 Bill Clinton enjoyed 60% + approval ratings and he would have been reelected in 2000 had he been able to run.

So yeah, no.

Will Colludes Again

My latest over at Inforos:
Republican political guru Karl Rove, often derisively called ‘Bush’s Brain’, managed George W. Bush’s two successful presidential campaigns in the 2000s. Rove focused on defending the red, Republican leaning states and maximizing conservative turnout in battleground purple states like Florida and Ohio. However, the Bush-Rove brand of free-trade and open-borders conservatism was unpopular with white working-class voters in Rust Belt states like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, states no Republican presidential candidate had won since 1988. As such, Rove’s strategy was inherently defensive. The Rust Belt became the Democrat’s Blue Wall, invincible against Republicans. Republican nominees John McCain and Mitt Romney stood little chance in these states in 2008 and 2012. In 2008 McCain’s campaign publicly gave up on Michigan.

Trump Unexpectedly

This morning Breitbart reports that impeachment isn't going so good with Midwest voters. Also 57% of Americans support an investigation into Joe Biden's Ukraine dealings.

They didn't expect that.

On the gab shows yesterday Republicans resisted with great obstinacy and refused to accept the premise. Here's Chuck Todd absolutely loosing his shit:
They didn't expect that.

We saw this ad three times while watching football yesterday:

And this morning we see Trump is holding a rally in Minnesota on the 10th. He's on the offensive.

They didn't expect that.
