The Week of Getting Trumped.

What a week!

First,  China agrees to go on a trillion dollar shopping spree with the goal of reducing the trade deficit to zero by 2024. This is what it looks like when you win a trade war. The new agreement is like Appomattox (sorry Harris) and Tokyo Bay rolled into one.

Secondly, Buzzfeed posts a bit of fake news claiming Trump ordered Michael Cohn to lie to congress. The two J-school dropouts reporting couldn't keep their own story straight, and were quickly contradicted by the Independent Council.

You gotta be a real moron to believe Trump would order his lawyer to lie to congress.

And D, Trump has offered a graet deal on immigration: wall for DACA.

This goes much deeper than most Democrats realize.

Not only are the Democrats preventing border security and a wall, a yuugly popular idea, the Democrats are standing in the way of DACA, a yuugly popular idea.

But whatever the Dems do, they lose. Because after Trump gets this deal he can go to the DACA recipients and their sympathizers and proclaim like Charleton Heston from the mount: I got you DACA!

Goodness, what will next week bring?

Notes on the Immigration Legislation Kabuki

The hardcore 'Goodlotte Bill' died last night. This would have legalized 800,000 illegal Mexicans, built a wall, ended chain-migration and the visa lottery.

Effeminate Speaker Paul Ryan's bill was scheduled for a vote last night, then this morning, now next week. 

This bill will legalize something like 1,800,000 illegal Mexicans, increase legal immigration, H1B1 visas, tamper down chain migration (though not stop it)  and build a wall. Ryan postponed the vote becuase he's making changes to the bill. He plans to add E-Verify. 

With E-Verify and perhaps a few other goodies we could live with the Ryan Bill.

Of course it's all academic becuase the Dems will use the racist* filibuster to prevent passage of anything.

This morning Trump told Ryan to 'forget about' passing an immigration bill till after the election.

We feel this is an excellent strategy. Trump wants to legalize the 800,000 DACA illegal Mexicans, build the wall, end chain migration and the visa lottery. These four ideas are extremely popular. 

This is a great platform for the fall and it can split the Dems. Trump can go to concerned Latin voters and say, 'I'm trying to fix DACA but the Dems say no.'

Always trust Trump. Never bet against Trump. Don't get tired of winning.

*The Dems used the racist filibuster to block both the Voting Rights Act and the Civil Rights Act.

Wargaming the DIM DACA Debate

We have heard recently some conservative pundits, we're thinking of you, Don Surber, argue that DACA is dead and this is a good thing.

We disagree on both points.

Trump made his DACA pitch combining two very popular ideas. These are legalization for 1.8 million DIMs (Descendants of Illegal Migrants) plus a border wall.

Trump did two very smart things. First he called for legalization of 1.8 million DIMs, not the  800,000 DIMs originally covered by DACA. Trump also tacked on provisions giving them a path to citizenship in 10-12 years. Those three points: numbers, citizenship and timetable are very negotiable. 

For example instead of 1.8 DIMs the immigration hardliners can whittle the number down to say, 1.2 DIMs. In the meantime they can offer as a concession a 6-8 year path to legal status. These are just a few examples. Why not battle over green card vs citizenship?

We think Trump's plan is merely for the GOP to negotiate with itself for the toughest possible deal and then force the Dems to come aboard. Remember, Chuck Schumer has to have DACA. Also Red State Democrats have to vote for a tough bill with minimum DACA.

Trump must sit down in these negotiations and think, God, none of these people know how to negotiate.

Thoughts on the Prospect of a Government Shutdown

The Dems gotta do it.

Last year when they agreed to a continuing resolution to fund the government those obnoxious DIMs (Descendants of Illegal Migrants) went berserk. So Chuck Schumer, Amy Schumer's uncle and the worst Jew in America, is in the rather unenviable position of having to placate 800,000 brats.

Oh go ahead Chuck, shut down the government. There will be no long term ramifications for doing so.

Let us explain.

The GOP got blamed for government shutdowns in 1995 and 2014. Pundits assured us all that this was bad news for Republicans and voters would punish them. They didn't. The GOP held onto the House and Senate in the election of '96 and did the same in 2014.

This year no one will go into the voting booth thinking, 'You know, the Dems shutdown the government. I'm voting Republican.' Nobody.

Winning Easy

What's up with Bannon we have no idea, and in any feud between the two men, we stand with Trump.

But man, does Trump ever make winning look easy.

Take DACA... Please!

The Dems have to have DACA. Look at the way the illegal Mexicans freaked out after the Democrat Party didn't shut down the government over DACA?

The Dems absolutely have to have a deal. If there's no deal, DACA expires in March and illegal Mexicans go back in the shadows from whence they came, or Mexico anyway.

Meanwhile, Trump can walk away at any time with no consequence whatsoever.

Right now Trump is demanding the wall, enforcement, employment checks, etc etc.

Trump will get almost all of that in exchange for letting 800,000 or so illegal Mexicans stay.

Remember, into any room he walks, Trump is the smartest man.

It's a Beautiful Wall, and it's Gonna be There

Watch, people. And substitute 'wall' for 'bridge'.

Look people, we don't know if it's battered wife syndrome. We don't know if it's jaded lover syndrome. We don't know if it's a matter of our public school system being so deteriorated that people just don't speak English anymore.

Whatever the reason, we have a failure to communicate. So repeat after us: There. Is. No. Deal.

That is there is no deal in which Trump traded away the wall for DACA.

We quote the great Don Surber who opines:

Being bullish, I read it as an admission by Democrats that the wall is non-negotiable. Off the table. President Trump has the authority to build the wall, and he will.

He goes on to say:

This was what was meant by "excluding the wall" because President Trump told them the wall was non-negotiable. Show some faith, OK? He did not seek election to sell you out.

Trump tweeted that there's no deal and that any deal would have to include massive border security. Here is said tweet:

WE WILL BUILD A WALL (NOT A FENCE) ALONG THE SOUTHERN BORDER OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TO HELP STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND KEEP AMERICA SAFE.

Last night the House passed a budget with 1.6 billion for a border wall.

That's three strong pieces of evidence against Trump making a deal.

Word is there's a deal on DACA.

Good.

That deal does not include a wall but does include enhanced border security measures. We'll wait and see what those are and we should note that right now the White House is saying they didn't nix a wall in the DACA deal.

Look folks we noted here earlier we thought Trump was going to use DACA to get his wall. Well it might not happen, oh well.

Several good things are happening here.

First, Barry's unconstitutional DACA edict is no more. That's half the issue right there.

Second, DIMers (Descendants of Illegal Migrants) get a legal way to stay. Look immigration hardliners, these people were never going to be deported. Finding a legal way for them to stay is a massively popular idea. You really want to deport these people? I don't.

Third, for the second time in a week the Dems have made a deal with Trump. They're normalizing him. If he's so evil, why are they dealing with him? It helps separate them from their whacked out base.

Fourth, the deal undercuts the feckless ninnies in the GOPe.

Fifth, the deal takes a contentious issue off the table.

Yeah, we wanted to trade DACA for a wall.  Trump's already said he intents to push for the wall later. We'll see.

Hey man, democracy is messy.

UPDATE: Trump denies a deal was made, only a discussion and said 'massive border security' wold be needed in such a deal.

Winning...

...Trump is doing it. Trump is winning because that's what winners do.

Let's set aside the Obamacare debacle for a moment and look at what el Trumpo Supremo has accomplished.

Gorsuch is on the Supreme Court. Isis is on the run. Illegal border crossings by illegal Mexicans are way down. More than 500 corrupt employees at the corrupt VA have been fired. More than a million jobs in six months.

Let us not forget his handling of Harvey.

Every week Trump scraps some piece of Obama era policy by dictate. This week DACA is gone and Breitbart reports this morning that Betsy De Vos is scrapping the college kangaroo courts.

Getting back to Obamacare, Ryan and McConnell really screwed that up. Worse they have shown the president no loyalty whatsoever. So Trump made a debt ceiling deal with Chuck and Nancy and is openly negotiating with them on DACA. Ryan and McConnell are said to be furious. Good.

Mr Trump for the Win

Two days ago President Trump bitch-slapped the left by ending DACA.

Yesterday he did the same to the GOPe by agreeing with Granny McBotox and the Worst Jew in America on their plans for a three month debt ceiling hike. 

Ryan and McConnell must have hated that.

We're already on record as saying Trump is in great shape on the DACA front. The Dems have to have some form of amnesty for the 800,000 or so affected by DACA. They have to make a deal. What are they willing to give up?

Again Trump can combine two wildly popular ideas here, amnesty for the 800,000 and a wall. Everyone likes both. Including the author.

On the debt ceiling front, where to begin? This whole debt ceiling drama has been a farce ever since the GOP tried it in 2011. What has this debt ceiling battle ever gotten the right?  So who really cares?

Trump has put the GOPe on notice, work with him or he can work with the Dems.

Call us an optimist but we think Trump is in the driver's seat here.

You get your Mexicans I get my Wall

DACA or Deferred Action for Children of Arrivals is a program initiated by Barry to allow those children, now adults, to stay in America. The program was initiated via executive order. That is, Barry decided he was not going to enforce the law.

Reports indicate that President Trump is going to end DACA in 6 months time.

Two thoughts. First, this is what happens when one decides you can just run roughshod over the law and the legislative branch.

Second, we think, (hope) that the President has just out-maneuvered the Democrat Party. Remember how the White House just said they weren't going to push border wall funding in the budget?

Six months is plenty of time to come up with a legislative solution to this problem. Trump holds all the cards here. Either there's a deal he wants, child amnesty plus or wall, or there is no deal at all. Remember DACA was initiated without Congress, it is entirely a creature of the Executive Branch and exists at the president's pleasure.

Personally we don't really think that illegal Mexican children should be shipped back to Mexico. These are people who have grown up here and came to American through no fault of their own. Find some way of letting them stay.

Most people agree with us on this.

Most people also agree with us on the need for a wall.

These are two wildly popular ideas.

Tell you what Dems, you get your illegal Mexicans kids I get my wall, deal?
