Well, we think President Trump has the politics of the Parkland Massacre in hand. He's proposed a few minor law changes, regulations etc, and this 'listening session' with survivors and family members is good governance not to mention good 'optics'. Lord we hate terms like that. Senator Marco Rubio (Cuck, Cuckistan) cucks-out and says 18 year old shouldn't buy rifles and teachers shouldn't be armed. We can't believe how much we used to love that guy. Meanwhile CNN gathers a hate-mob against the faire and articulate Dana Loesch. The Daily Caller has the ugly scene here, and here. Oh, and all the CNN questions were scripted. On a related note, yesterday CNN went to some woman's home and doxed away. Her crime? She ran a pro-Trump FB group that participated in one of the Russian faux Trump rallies. Replace 'NRA' with 'The Jews' and you'll understand what CNN is doing.
Remember, the Second Amendment exists to protect us from the likes of CNN.

That's CNN's Brian Stelter, media critic, interviewing Michael Wolff himself a journalist and media critic. Wolff really let's him have it. And rightly so. Stelter is a pig. A man with no real journalism experience, sorry writing media columns is not journalism, slamming President Trump for not revering the media. Stelter at one point tries to argue that we live in extraordinary times that require the likes of himself lecturing the president. Wolff is not impressed. In fact everything Wolff says is true. 'The media does not need defending by the media,' Wolff says and, 'The media will be fine.' After Stelter tried to argue that we live in extraordinary times Wolff, who unlike Stelter has the benefit of years of experience, says, 'I think all new presidencies are unusual.'
Just so.
Brian Stelter actually brings Wolff on air to take about...Brian Stelter.
Look folks, there's a reason why my novels are peppered with journalists known only by a sobriquet; Bloviating Hair Maniac, Red Dye Job, Aggressive Blonde, etc, etc. Except Rafael Gould of course. 'Gonzo' as he is nicknamed is out in the field, you know, reporting.
Calm down Stelter, you're not that pretty, you're not that special.
For the last decade I've loved watching the media die. Its been a slow death, I wish it could be slower. These over-educated, self-important buffoons can't figure out why their industry is dying
Via Instapundit we have this internal memo from the Boston Globe on its latest bought of restructuring. Here's my favorite part:
Newsroom culture. It will analyze how we can become a more nimble learning culture, with a collective understanding that we need to constantly experiment and change, tolerate failure, and become more entrepreneurial. This will require more training across the room, but what kind of training do we need? How do we transform our mindset? How, in general, do we behave more like a startup and less like a legacy company as we fight for our lives?
Workflows. Consider this the byplay between print and digital. What's getting in the way of us becoming a more streamlined and effective digital-thinking organization? How do we take advantage of every position we have? Again, who needs what training? Do we need a separate print desk? Can we free up department heads from the obligation of filling sections? Do we have the right technology?
Editorial mission. This looks at where we devote our resources -- and why? Should we still be covering the same beats we have for the past half century? Should we have beats? Should we have departments, or at least the ones we have now? Is there a better way to present our material online and in print? Can we get away from certain kinds of stories and coverage areas and redirect our resources to focus on specific aspects of greater Boston?
That's a of word salad on internal process, what goes where, who gets what. Process is real important here.

Now, about the 3 minute mark he starts talking about how he was reporting a story, who he talked to, when and such. Again we see an obsession with process rather than news. In their world its the process that it's important. Eichenwald even says, 'I'm giving reporting process here'. Eichenwald spends six minutes trying to take us through the process. The end of this is breathtaking as he over explains the CIA.
Imagine asking Eichenwald if the sun rises in the east, he couldn't give a one word answer, he'd have to explain the process by which he reported that the sun rises in the east.
These organization are the are news and in their minds, they are the news.
Its not the news that matters to them, its the process by which they report the news that matters to them.
As the late Andrew Bretibart (PBUH) once said, dear media, it's not your business model that sucks, it's you that sucks.
So yesterday Donald Trump assembled the media in Trump Tower and berated them. Good.
“It was like a f–ing firing squad,” one source said of the encounter.
Too bad it wasn't just 'like' a firing squad.
Here is yet another article, this one at The Atlantic, about why the media sucks. Basically the media is run and staffed by ambitious young women, preening beta male college boys and homosexuals.
This is of course a transition (pun intended) from the old style media of coffee drinking, cigarette smoking, donut eating fat guys.
When I worked at the Wesley College Whetstone the paper was run by a guy like that. He was a 30 year old army and air force vet who loved news. God he might as well have been my father. 30 years old!
When I worked at CNN Inside Politics the office was filled with young women hired by the middle aged director. Ok not everyone was young. Ahhhh Sasha Johnson. She was cute, athletic etc. She once inadvertently flashed me, getting out of a cab, a moment I will take to my grave. I never liked Kate Albright-Hanna or my boss Jane Caplan. Bear in mind the later, while writing on gun control, used to work for the Brady Campaign. Interestingly we were all about the same age. The difference was these were up and coming go-getters, I was some dumb schlub brought in to do scutt work, like run to FEC and get the list of contributions to the Elizabeth Dole campaign. I was less important than the interns.
For a while the polling director took me under his wing. Nice man, very smart, and a baseball fanatic as all good pollsters should be. Thank you, Keating Holland.
My father worked at NBC Nightly News from 1968 till 2005. He was one of the guys you could see in the newsroom behind Tom Borkow. There he is, right over Tom Brokow's shoulder:
My sister and I used to like to call him up during the broadcast and try to get him to scratch his ear or something. He wouldn't.
He saw the transition first hand. By the time my old man left the office was filled by hyper-educated young professionals who worked out during lunch and didn't expect to have to work after hours. These were hyper-successful fastidious types. As me old man said, 'I remember when we used to stub out our cigarettes on the newsroom floor and now I have to go outside to smoke.'
So President-Elect Trump is dead on hear. Don't be nice to them. Don't treat them with respect. They'e the enemy.
BTW, lots of media badmouthing in Israel Strikes: War of the Red Sea. There's a character named Martin, based on the terrorist sympathizer, misogynist, homosexual Martin Bashir.
There is nothing about this Breitbart piece on media harassment that is not totally awesome:
Triggered journalists from across the nation are bemoaning the treatment members of the press are receiving at Trump campaign rallies from the Trump supporters the media routinely misrepresents as ignorant racists, fascist Nazis, or disenchanted working whites.
With increasing regularity, these journalist snowflakes are “reporting” their victimization at the hands Trump supporters who chant mean things like, “CNN sucks” and call them names like “presstitutes.”
Awwww, Snowflake, are people actually fighting back?
As I have said before, Mr. Trump isn't running against Obama or even Hillary!. He is running against the media.
Remember, these are the people that smeared W. with the phony National Guard story and followed that up with another phony story about al Qaeda terrorists stealing explosives out of the Saddam era al-kaka facility. These are the people who gleefully reported every American combat death in Iraq. These are the people who dumpster dived on John McCain allegedly having an affair, and rooted around Clarence Thomas's garage. I could go on and on and on...
For members of the media elite, the occasional taunts and jeers signal a dangerous threat to the free press. During an interview with Kellyanne Conway on Tuesday, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer breathlessly asked Trump’s campaign manager to ask Trump to stop calling out the press at his rallies because he is scared “there could be an ugly incident” between Trump supporters and the “hardworking young journalists” who cover his rallies.
