For foreign readers, here in North American and Australia, Scots are thought of as iron-willed Calvinists, breaking the land and fending off Native attacks. Unfortunately all the Scotts of action, industry, nerve and will immigrated to North America and Australia, leaving the socialist dystopia one see's in Trainspotting, a people closer to Ewan McGregor's Mark Renton rather than William Wallace.
Last time around the SNP promised to close the Holy Lock naval base, free tuition and free prescriptions. This platform gives the game away. Scottish nationalism isn't about nationalism at all, but Scottish socialism.
Oh, and they want to rejoin the EU, meaning the Scots will simply swap out London for Brussels.

Jeremy :(
Jeremy Corbyn, the terrorist coddling, IRA loving, Jew hating, damn, dirty, Trotskyite socialist bastard is history.
Corbyn ran a grim campaign in which he threatened to renegotiate Brexit and hold another referendum. He promised to nationalize British industries.
An utterly contemptible man without humor or favor. A lout. A doddard existing in a socialist bubble where communists brought class equality to the land, and 1970s Britain was a great place.
This is Labour's worst defeat since 1983, when they were lead by Socialist loon Michael Foote, the old Looney Left.
The worst British party leader of our lifetime.

Boris and the Tories annihilated Jeremy Corbyn and Labour, winning 364 seats. It's the biggest Tory victory since Margaret Thatcher's 1987 win. The Tories won longtime Labour constituencies and flipped large swaths of the north. Mining constituencies voted Conservative.

Britain Bofo for Boris!
Boris has his election and a big lead. Guido Fawkes warns against complacency.
Wise.
After all, nullity Theresa May, worst PM since David Cameron, blew a big lead and had to form a minority government.
But Labour is a mess right now and the vile hater of Jews, Jeremy Corbyn, is just about the least popular man in Britain.
Boris has a great message: I'm the man who delivered a no-no deal Brexit. I'm the man who's getting us out of the EU. I'm the man who's putting an end to all this.
Corbyn's message: I still hate Jews.

Sod off you Tory Tossers
So we see the nice, respectable establishment politician Theresa May blow it in an election against a 1970's era socialist who loves the PLO, the IRA, the PLFP, the FLMN, etc etc...any left wing terrorist group with a lot of letters.
This election reminds me a bit of the 1998 mid-year elections here in America, where the GOP expected big gains but blew it and actually lost a few House and Senate seats. Why? Because the big issue was Bill Clinton's impeachment. The Dems were super-motivated to come out and vote, and it never occurred to anyone in the GOP-e to plan for this.
This election has been similarly disastrous. Maybe its more of a setback, I dunno.
Of course in the aftermath of the '98 fiasco House Speaker Newt Gingrich (jerk) resigned. Doesn't look like May will do the same. In fact as we write this she is at the Palace.
The '98 elections changed little, actually. The GOP went ahead and impeached Bill anyway, fat lot of good that did. We doubt this election disaster will change anything either.
Brexit on.

Brexit Elexit
Well, the Brits are voting today.
The Tories began with a massive 20 point lead which all but evaporated by last week. In the last few days they've come back though and the consensus is that Prime Minister May will emerge with a larger majority. Just how much larger is anyone's guess.
My own sense is that the Tories will win on the high end of the scale. Even if they are unpopular you have to have something to beat them and Labour has nothing. Labour is going the same way as the left in this country. They are led by Jeremy Corbin a leftist loon utterly without humor who palled around with Palestinian terrorists, Irish terrorists, Islamist terrorists...you get the idea.
Enjoy your victory, Prime Minister May.
Of course if the Cannucks can elect Prime Minister Selfie one supposes the Brits can elect Prime Minister Red.
We'll see.
