Hack Again you Drunk

Via Hotair, you'd have to be an inhuman monster not to laugh at, mock, and taunt Hillary! as she breaks down while reading the victory speech she'd intended to give on election night 2016. This woman deserves none of our sympathy. Hillary! has no soul. Bash the late Bob Dole all you want, but just a few months after losing the election, he was at the White House cracking jokes about it, 'I, Robert J Dole...' he began to great laughter. Cough again you high functioning drunk. Pass out and be tossed into the back of a van. 

The Washington Examiner has a long piece about Jews and Israelis being shutout of the publishing industry 'the literary world writ large appears to have an Israel problem.' No kidding? The piece goes on at some length about award ceremonies, writer's groups, author organizations etc etc...The trad published author's need for these things astonishes this highly successful and talented writer. Or does it? We say publish yourself and write whatever you want. 

Jews are increasingly problematic for the publishing industry. The modern Israeli is no victim. He is a victor. The Israelis ruthlessly hunt down terrorist masterminds, bomb the hell out of their enemies and stand ready to rain biblical level destruction on Iran. Of course Israel has a vast nuclear weapons stockpile. These are not acceptable Jews to the Manhattan smart set. Netanyahu is nothing like Woody Allen or Steven Spielberg. Aerial Sharon was the greatest Jew since Moses. 

And the Jew is clever. Just read this article from The Times of Israel about the new Gaza wall, 'The barrier is made up of several components: an underground reinforced concrete wall that is studded with sensors to detect tunnels; a 20-foot (six-meter) steel fence; a network of radar arrays and other surveillance sensors; and remote-controlled weaponry.' All that's missing is crocodile filled moat. That's just the stuff they're telling us about. 

Will stays Jewey. Military History Matters, for whom we published a piece on Pershing and the AEF a few years ago, just sent us the proof for our latest upcoming article, The Battle of the Chinese Farm, during the Yom Kippur War. It looks great, of course. We are very good at what we do. Wonder if they need anything else?

While talking with the English editor above we've been colluding with our Russian editor. Actually, no we haven't. We've warned the Kremlin that we won't touch the Ukraine matter for them and don't even feel comfortable writing about domestic issues at the moment. This will pass, hopefully. We won't die for Donetsk, but Let's Go Ukraine! You see, one can believe Ukraine isn't our fight and still root for them. If that's our sentiment, maybe we shouldn't be writing for Inforos at all.

Der Juden (The Jews)

This blog's Confederate readership asked about Hasidic/Haredi Jews and said we compared them to the Muslim Brotherhood.

A better comparison would be to the Amish, an urban version of the Amish. Being from Delaware Mrs. Stroock had some dealings with them (it's not too far away from Pennsylvania Dutch country). Her parents were once in a car accident with an Amish buggy, the horse was fine.

Anyway, Hasidic Jews are the guys you see on TV with the white shirts, black coats, prayer curls, funny hats, etc, etc. Note, not all of those guys are Hasidic, some are just Orthodox. Hasidic Jews come from Poland, Hungary and the Baltic states (see the film Yentl). It's a movement that sprang up in the 16th century, we think. These are the hardcore Jews, roughly equivalent to Muslim fundamentalists. The difference is these people are very insular and want to be left alone, mostly. The Hasidic community in Rockland County New York has been steadily taking over local school boards. In our experience they're kind of jerks. Many of them are anti-vaxers and as previously noted, the cops keep having to break up Hasidic religious gatherings.

Former Senator and Vice Presidential candidate Joe Liberman was Modern Orthodox. The Stroocks were by tradition Reform Jews. These are the Yankee Protestants of the Jewish world. Mrs Stroock's mother (for whom our oldest is named) was Conservative leaning toward Modern Orthodox. She spent her summers in an Orthodox Synagogue on Tremont Avenue just off the Bronx's Grand Concourse (best way to get to Yankee Stadium from Westchester), now an AME Baptist church. Today the Stroock's are Conservative Jews. It's complicated. Maybe we'll do a few more posts this week on the subject.

America to Jews: Ya'll Okay

It must kill the ADL to admit this:

JTA — Despite a rise in anti-Semitic violence in recent years, the proportion of Americans holding “intensely” anti-Semitic views remains small, according to a new poll. The poll, conducted by the Anti-Defamation League and published Wednesday, asked 11 questions of United States adults regarding traditional anti-Semitic stereotypes, using a protocol the organization developed more than 50 years ago. While 61 percent of respondents said they agreed with one or more of the stereotypes, only 11% said they believed in a majority of them. That number is consistent with the ADL’s surveys over the past 25 years. 

That 61% of respondents agreeing with a few Jewish stereotypes is actually hilarious. We live surrounded by Indians and Chinese and are on occasion told that we make great movies and are good with money. Indians think, 'Well of course Jews are good with money. They're like Gujarati people back home;' That's a state and language group famous for its entrepreneurial class. So it seems natural to them. Our Chinese neighbors are grateful that our god seemingly requires us to eat Chinese food on Christmas. 

As for this slight uptick in Juden Hass attacks, well, the assailants fit a certain, ahhh….demographic profile and if we went any further into it our own HR department would send us to sensitivity training hell, so...

The great Tucker Carlson said the other night, this is a nice country filled with nice people. And he can't be cucked. Can't cuck the tuck. Tuck to cucks: drop dead.

In all history there has never been a better place for Jews, and that includes Israel. God bless the USA.

Trump Right on Jews

President Trump has slammed American Jews for remaining loyal to Democrats and by extension disloyal to Israel.

President Trump is absolutely 100% right.

Back in the day Beinart and TNR were Peace Process central, advocates for giving away the whole store, land for peace, the Jordan Valley and Jerusalem in exchange for some ethereal promise from the PLO's homosexual, AIDs ridden terrorist-leader Yasser Arafat.

These are the trendy, smart set, cocktail party Jews. Park Avenue Jews, Hizhonor Mayor Ed Koch (PBUH) used to call them. 

Just listen to the Quisling Beinart. Being a lefty, he'll never understand cause and effect. A then B, not B then A.

Bibi's Israel is embarrassing at Manhattan book launch soirees and San Francisco transsexual debutante balls, and the likes of Beinart won't have it. Jews firing back, why I never!

Meanwhile, Jim Bleyer notices that Florida Jews may be off put by the Democrat Party's embrace of Jew haters like Hezbollah's Rashida Tlaib and probable FGM sufferer Ilhan Omar:

That hardly will be the case next year, thanks to Republican efforts to woo the Jewish vote and the Democrats, through a series of political pratfalls, supporting or ignoring blatant anti-Semitism in its ranks under the guise of advocating Palestinian rights.

All but one state-wide office in Florida is held by the GOP, governor, both senators, etc. etc. Florida is pink now. Where's that emerging Democrat Majority?

Wither American Jews

This is not appropriate:

Rafi Peretz made the statement at a cabinet meeting on July 1, Axios reported Tuesday, citing three people who were in the room. Peretz, a former chief rabbi of the Israeli army, is the leader of the Union of Right Wing Parties bloc. Peretz said the assimilation of Jews around the world and mostly in the US was “like a second Holocaust,” and also said that, due to intermarriages in the last 70 years, the Jewish people “lost 6 million people,” according to the report, which added that Peretz’s spokesman confirmed the account.

Oh hell, we don't know, maybe it's appropriate.

We ourselves are a product of intermarriage. To tell a family secret, my mother was Methodist.*

We know for a fact that our in-laws were relieved their daughter found a (half) Jewish guy. They lived in Delaware, a state with 7,000 Jews.

As noted previously in Hendrick Hudson High School one was either Irish, Jewish or Italian and being Jewish was no more or less remarkable than being anything else. In the old South Jews were welcomed as People of the Book. We know, out grandmother grew up on Baton Rouge, and later Waterproof Louisiana .

A gentile friend once pointed out to us that Jews have never before faced a threat like America. Nobody cares. 

*What movie am I riffing off of? You know the drill. 

The Oldest (and boringest) Hatred

Some kid shot up a synagogue, the New York Times publishes Juden Hass cartoons of Bibi and the Donald, Ilhan Omar still hates Jews.

It's just all so...banal (classical reference, as Instapundit would say), boring, uninteresting.

We hang out on Gab.ai along with a lot of Nazi trolls and wannabes. Don't worry, 95% of them are harmless. It's just performance art, something to do between conference calls or comic book movies.

The thing is Juden Hass has been done to death. It's soooooo old. Anti-Semitism goes all the way back to the Old Testament, literally you guys. And no one is going to out Jew hate Der Fuhrer. We don't know why these guys even bother.

Young Israelis, Young Righties

A very interesting article in the WSJ about Israeli Millennials. It turns out they're quite conservative on security issues:

Born close to or after the 1993 Oslo peace accords between the Israelis and Palestinians, and coming of age during a wave of violence known as the second Palestinian intifada, Israel’s millennials take a harder line on security and peace than older generations.

Let's imagine Zevi, An Israeli born in 1993. 

Among his earliest memoires is the Second Intifada and the almost daily terrorist attacks culminating in the Passover Massacre.

Zevi's Bot Mitzvah Torah reading was interrupted by Hezbollah missiles. He spent much of that summer in a bomb shelter.

Zevi saw Hezbollah seize southern Lebanon and Hamas seize Gaza. He watches Iran wearily and lives with the threat of missile attacks from Lebanon and Gaza.

He knows Ehud Barak tried to make peace in 2000 and Ehud Olmert tried again in 2008 only to be rebuffed by the Palestinians.

Every Friday tens of thousands of Palestinians gather on the Gaza border and try to breach the fence.

Oh, and Netanyahu has been Prime Minister for-ever!

Zevi's experience is kind of like growing up in the Reagan era, Republicans are the only presidents one remembers, except for Mr. Peanut Jimmy Carter. 

Zevi and a million young Israelis like him are not interested in giving peace a chance.

Even More Jewish Than Previously Believed

23&Me notified us yesterday that they recalculated our Ashkenazi Jew DNA percentage up from 47.4 % to 48.5%.

We're even Jewier.

Strangely, while we have over a thousand DNA relatives on 23&Me none of them share more than 1.5% of their DNA with us. 

The map is both fascinating and Jewey with large concentrations of Jewish relatives in Los Angeles*, New York, and...Israel, mostly in the Beersheba area and the Negev.

This also makes sense becuase we know the Stoocks who bugged out to the holy land in the 1920s settled in Beersheba. They owe us money too, as they borrowed to buy land there. 

*They're probably like the Dodgers, ugh.

Netanyahu, American Jews and Israel

The Time's of Israel tells us about left leaning American Jews and their hostility to Netanyahu:

There’s been a widening gulf between Israel and the American Diaspora for years now, but with voters heading to the polls on Tuesday, left-leaning US Jewish leaders want to impart a message: The damage Netanyahu is inflicting on Israel’s relationship with US Jews will have lasting consequences on Israel’s security.

This has it exactly backwards. Netanyahu didn't inflict damage on the relationship between Israel and America (and American Jews), Barrack Hussein Obama did.

For liberal American Jews (about 80% of us judging by the 2016 exit polls) this is about loyalty to the Democrat Party in America and the Labour Party in Israel.

Jews were a huge part of FDR's New Deal Coalition and Labour was the Israeli's rough equivalent of the Democrats. Labour was certainly the party of urban, upscale American Jews. Most importantly, Labour bet everything on the Oslo Process and lost badly. It's been 19 years since Labour's last PM, Ehud Barrack. Israel's once de-facto ruling party is a husk looking at 10 seats in the next Knesset.

To be  blunt, a lot of American Jews are Democrats first. These are a secular lot. We suggest watching this Ezra Levant video for an explanation. And if the Oslo Process was a failure of the Labour Party, it was also a failure of the Clintons and the Democrat Party. Clinton had Yasir Arafat to the White House more than any other leader in an effort to broker a deal. The Democrat/Labour failure led to the Second Intifada, hundreds of dead Israelis and war. Again and again in the aftermath of a Palestinian terror attack the Clinton Administration urged Israel to 'exercise restraint', by which they meant shut up and take it.

Which Israel doesn't do anymore. The IDF says 'quiet will be met with quiet', but force is met with dispraportionate force. Israel is no longer a left-secular state but a ethno-nationalist state of right-leaning and religious Jews where everyone serves in the military and has lots of kids. Even in secular Tel Aviv the brithrate approaches 3.0. The government throw out illegal immigrants without question of hesitation. 

It's downright embarrasing for the Liberal American Jew.

Representative Betty McCollum Hates Jews

Hotair tells us about a closeted Jew Hater, Representative Betty McCollum (D-MN) chastising an open Jew Hater, Representative Ilhan Omar (Nazi-Mogadishu):

[Betty] McCollum has been pushing anti-Israel resolutions for years, going so far as to accuse the Israeli government of “apartheid.” And yet here she is with one of the most politely critical statements of Omar by a Democrat issued this week. What gives?

Apartheid.

There's a zillion sob-sister causes to choose from on god's earth. Child labor, human trafficking, the plight of the Yazidis, female circumcision*, yet Representative McCollum selected the Jews. There's only one reason to focus on Israel, just one.

Don't give me that, 'criticism of Israel doesn't mean you hate Jews' crap. 

I'm critical of Israeli religious policy.

McCollum isn't criticizing Israel, she's calling for diplomatic and economic isolation of the Jewish State.

Honestly, given Europe's history (ahem) these numbers look pretty good.

For a variety of reasons these numbers will worsen over time. We expect the coming Israeli-Iran war to permanently tip the European's opinion against the Jews in their midst.

The wise European Jew will be looking to leave.

Historically Jews have not been so wise.

The Exodus was the only time in history Jews prudently found the exit before it was too late.

We wonder if we'll live to see a pogrom in Europe. Our children certainly will.

About 10% of the world's Jewish population, 1,400,000, live in Europe.

The Wandering Jews

A 97 year old Holocaust Survivor was murdered at the Tree of Life Synagogue. His story will be familiar to anyone who knows Jewish history. Sent to a camp, then liberated, then immigration to the United States.

Where exactly was he from?

This question can be asked of 3/4 of the Jewish World today, the Diaspora. A century ago 15,000,000 Jews lived in Europe, or the United States, or the Arab Middle East.

Today almost all of the Jews are gone from the Arab Middle East and Europe. Of the 15,000,000 Jews on earth today, 6,000,000 (Whoops! There's that number again!) reside in Israel and the same number in the United States.

Yesterday we noted our Russian Jewish neighbors, from Lithuania and Ukraine, with friends from all over the former Soviet Union.

Our grandfather's family were Dutchmen on one side (Stroocks) and Krauts on the other (Neuberger, Loeb). Both got out of Europe after the Revolutions of 1848. As noted before the man for whom we are named (our grandmother's father) flew airplanes, in the Great War...for the Kaiser.

Mrs. Stroock is descended from Lithuanian/Byelorussian peasant stock, we mean real Fidler on the Roof stuff. One of her cousins just married an Israeli man. His family was from Baghdad, which was about 45 percent Jewish until 1948.

This is usually the conversation one has when one meets Jews. So sayeth the great, the indispensable, Breitbart's lion, Ben Shapiro:

When we meet another Jew, the first thing we do is play Jewish geography: who knows whom, who is related to whom. That’s the rich side of being part of a global tribe – everyone is one degree removed from everyone else.

Usually in America these are Krauts or Russians and in Israel they're Middle Eastern, though many are descendent from Europeans obviously.

And so In every generation they rise up against us to destroy us and we all end up some place else. Diaspora from Spain, to Russia, to America. Returning home became a religion until itself. Which is why most Jewish holidays end with Next year in Jerusalem.

Inter-Hebrew Squabling

The estimable Steve Sailer, whom we consider the smartest man on the internet, reviews Jonathan's Weismann's panicked tome about being Jewish in Trump's America. Sailer notes:

Quite right. Our recently deceased grandfather spoke of his grandfather standing at the entrance to Jewish social functions and asking everyone their name. If a person's name was Eastern European (say Jablonski or Yaakov) they didn't get in. Our Great Great Grandfather was named Loeb and married into the Neuberger family. We were the refined Krauts, so no Polacks aloud.

Mid-century, when the Scarsdale Country Club asked our grandfather to join he told them to go schtup themselves. They were Prods and New York Jews always got on much better with the mackerel snappers , especially the Dagos. Two Mediterranean peoples, don't you see?

Hebrew History by Numbers

Via Jewish Virtual Library here's world Jewish population by country. The alert reader(s) will notice out of fifteen million or so Jews, twelve million of them live in Israel and the United States. Nearly half a million are located in France a number in rapid decline. Another 900,000 thousand Jews are scattered throughout all points of the British Empire, the UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa. Another 300,000 or so are in South America.

The reader(s) see numbers but we see history. Of about half a million in 1933 one hundred and seventeen thousand Jews still reside in Germany today. Our own Great Grandfather, Flight Lieutenant William Eisman, Luftwaffe, left Germany in 1919 for Louisiana.

In 1900 about 3,000,000 Jews lived in Russia. Today 179,000 Jews are left in Russia and 56,000 in Ukraine. Today a million Israelis hail from the former Soviet Union.  Of course those Russian and Ukrainian Jews are partially descendant from Jews kicked out of Spain and invited to Russia by the Czars.  Most of South America's Jews hail from Spain as well, though many tens of thousands are simple immigrants. In 1900 nearly nine million Jews resided in Europe. Three million alone lived in Poland. Today only 8,000 Jews live there. We know what happened to the other 3,000,000.  Of the remaining three million Jews half are still in Europe. The rest scattered, mostly to Israel and the United States.

With these numbers we can see the past. They also suggest the future.

Right now the great divide in Judaism is between Sephardi and Ashkenazim Jews. Judging by the chart, in a few centuries there will be Israeli and American Jews.

A few years ago the total world Jewish population was 15 million the same number as 1933. Of course as a percentage of humanity world Jewish population is much smaller.

Yesterday Frau Merkel won reelection in Germany.

Which is fine.

Also the 'far right' AFD got 13.5 percent of the vote.

Always the next Hitler is just an election away from taking power. I mean Trump, right?

White Man the Hebrew is Not

This article from Israelycool touches on something that was self-evident a hundred years ago, fifty years ago and even 25 years ago. Jews are not white:

We are blessed that our 94 year old grandfather (the old bastard) is still around and remembers people who came from the olde country. His maternal great grandfather, Morris Neuberger, came out of Westphalia, in the 1850s, while the Stroocks came out of Amsterdam at the same time.  We have family photos of them all and they have a distinctly Mediterranean air about them. My father looks reliably middle eastern so much so that when we'd visit my mother's Kentucky relatives people knew instantly he wasn't from around there. Think about that. Because of family DNA tests my father is 90 recent Ashkenazim Jew. The blood lines remained pure through two millennia

Because my old man shacked up with a gentile by the name of Thompson, fifty years ago I could have used the front entrance of any country club. But my father could not have, nor could my grandfather. Jews were long excluded from the old Prod establishment. By the mid 1960s my grandfather was a fancy advertising exec (think Madmen) who actually worked in the Johnson Admin a bit with Sergeant Shriver. When the Scarsdale country club ask him to join my grandfather told them to stick it.

So I'm not white. The ultimate proof? Hitler didn't think so.

The ADL is Decadent and Depraved

So the terminally useless Anti-Defamation League has released a hit list of Alt-Right figures it doesn't like. On the list are people like Vox Day, Mike Cernovich and Gavin McInnes....oh and Milo!

We have loathed this organization since the early 2000's when Abe Foxman (convinced a Jew hater lay under every bed) was pestering Mel Gibson about The Passion of the Christ and worrying about a few neo-Nazis holed up in upstate New York.

So I went to the ADL's website expecting to see them harping about things not relevant to Jews, like Mel Gibson.

I was not disappointed.

Look, whatever the ADL may once have been, now it is a converged social justice pressure group and a jobs platform for hyper-educated SJWs. Check it out on Linkedin. We see dozens of employees with vaguely defined white collar information jobs like the 'specialist' for this  and the 'coordinator' for that. I doubt any of these people could change a tire.

What will the ADL do when one of the people on their hit list gets shot? Heck of a law suit.
