Friday Follies

We submitted a column to our KGB handler last night, but really weren't sure he would publish it. The piece is about China's espionage in the United States, and the Ruski's can be sensitive about China stuff as they're friends. Anyway we got an email this morning asking for clarification on something so it looks like it's going up. When writing about China issues we try to avoid terms like 'Chinese spying' and instead say 'China's spying'. We know a lot of Chinese-Americans, of course. Just replace 'Chinese' with 'Jewish and reader(s) will see what we mean. We use 'Beijing' as much as possible.

And....the article is up: Beijing has established a presence on American college campuses through various means, including the Confucian Institute. This is a branch of the Chinese Ministry of Education, which seeks to promote ideas, culture and news from China. While Confucian Institutes engage in much useful dialogue, they have been designated a foreign mission by the U.S. State Department which says they spread Chinese government propaganda. At the start of 2020 there were 86 Confucian Institutes on American college campuses and another 500 in K-12 schools. As Confucian Institutes have become controversial, many have shut down.

The Times of Israel reports the United States fucking Government has been hacked: 'US officials suspect a massive hacking operation that hit numerous government agencies and has been linked to Russia breached networks tied to the country’s nuclear weapons stockpile, Politico reported Thursday.' They got the nukes. We assume 'Russia' is Deep State for 'China'. These are the Feds, people. These are the guys who want to tell you wearing masks will stop the Wuhan Virus from Wuhan China.

Ben Shapiro tells us that San Francisco is renaming Abraham Lincoln High School. You know, during the Tobacco wars of the 90's, we tried to tell people that the health-Nazis wouldn't stop with cigarettes. And they didn't. We tried to tell people that the left wouldn't stop with Confederates, and so they haven't. Oh, and when someone criticizes Lincoln, Washington, or anyone else for making war upon the Sioux or whomever, just reply, 'You're goddamn right he did.' Concede nothing.

On the home front Oldest Daughter has decided she's a leftist and has decorated her room with leftwing slogans, 'black lives matter' and such a Bernie Sanders flag, etc etc. Our own Soviet flag hangs from her ceiling. 'Wait, you have a Soviet flag?' reader(s) may be asking. Heh, reader(s) should see our current FB pic. Anyway, this is fine. This blog has a certain respect for Mr. Sanders. Even if he gets the solution wrong, he understands the problem perfectly.

This blog tries to stick with what it knows, which is why we haven't blogged much about vaccines, quarantines, masks etc. As far as lockdowns go we think it's obvious they don't work. We also think it obvious we're seeing a surge in cases because it's flu season. Steve Sailer, who we say without irony is the smartest man on the internet, has some hard numbers for Covid and vaccine skeptics. Our own thought is that one of two things will happen to all of us. Either you get the vaccine or you get Covid. We are biased, though.

Joe, Joe Where ya Gonna Go?

Yes, Bernie dropped out.

No, we don't care. He's keeping his delegates. Wonder why? Bernie has a better chance of being the Dem nominee than Biden. 

Joe Biden will not, repeat, will not be the Dem nominee. We think it's possible they pick Joe's veep early, say Willie Brown's 'desk repair' girl, and then he steps aside. But it ain't gonna be Sunset Joe.

We had another point to make but got another cup of coffee and can't remember what we were going to write.

The Combined Stroock Appliance and Dem Debate Post

Yesterday the handle to the microwave broke. We meant to repair it with some rubber cement but forgot. Just now, as we were getting our coffee, we remembered and thought, What the hell were we doing last night, then? Oh dear lord...

We watched two old men bickering over who voted for what in 1995.

Joe Biden didn't really have any cognitive breakdowns, not the kind we were hoping for, anyway. But he had this annoying tick where he'd say, 'First we blah, blah, blah. Second we yada, yada yada...' This is almost certainly a memory trick to keep Biden from wondering off, mentally.

At one point we turned to Mrs. Stroock and remarked, 'He just says a bunch of words until he gets somewhere.' Mrs. Stroock, who was struggling to stay awake after a day of ferocious spring cleaning, replied, 'Yep.'

Biden thinks he's good at this.

Last night we realized we don't think we've ever scene Bernie Sanders smile. He's losing but says the same thing over and over again.

As to what any of these two grumps are advocating, it was a contest between who could offer free stuff and who could offer crappy, socialist free stuff. 

Dear spellcheck, 'freestuff' should be one word for the duration of the campaign.

Bernie Sanders is finished.

But you people knew that.

After South Carolina, after Super Tuesday, the Vermont lay about needed to take a swing at Biden.  But Bernie Sanders, who never really did anything, didn't do anything here, and is facing electoral oblivion.

Those Bernie Bros, those wannabe violent revolutionaries exposed by James O'Keefe, well, they're all suckers. They decided a septuagenarian communist was the van of their Red Guard. The faux communists is being beaten by a small time, crony politician in obvious mental decline.

It's freaking hilarious.

Wither Bernie

Hot Air has a poll showing Joe beating Bernie by ten. We don't think it's that bad for the former mayor of Burlington, actually. As of this writing the delegate count is 627-551. Given the Dems apportionment system, Bernie can keep going on all month.

Ben Shapiro (mozel tov on the new baby!) has long said Bernie is a useless human who got kicked out of a hippie commune for being too lazy, and we've come to think he's right. Bernie needed to do something after Tuesday....and he has not. Neither has the so-called youth vote. When are they going to learn? Jean Francois Kerry (D-Paris) was counting on the yuts to make him president in 2004 and, well, yeah, no.

At this point one can literally feel the Joementum.

Bernie needs to Bern

We find Biden's comeback...unsettling...disquieting, we're not sure why. We never quite believed Bernie would get the nomination, not really. There's three primaries left this month alone, so we can expect a long slog ahead. Right? 

One thing for sure, Bernie needs to fight, but he's never really been a fighter. He's never had to be a fighter. Bernie's been a quaint mayor, congressman and senator in a quaint state. He's finally running attack ads on Joe Biden. It's a start. Watch Michigan. Bernie won it big time in 2016. It prolonged John McCain's campagin in 2000. What will happen now?

Elizabeth Warren is done. So done we don't even feel like making Tomohawk jokes about her. If Warren drops out it would help Bernie a bit, but where most of her supporters would go, well, who knows?

Our best guess, hunch, feeling, etc is that Biden has lots of momentum and wins. Only the Dem's apportionment system keeps Bernie in the race. Prepare to listen to lots of Biden comeback narrative this month. But that's this week.

Wither the Dem Establishment

Last night James Carville, who knows a thing or two about winning elections, had his regularly scheduled freak out.

The Democrat Establishment, the Obamas, the Clinton Machine, is being overthrown by a septuagenarian from Vermont who endorses breadlines.

The likes of them can't win. Go with Bernie and get annihilated. Steal the nomination from Bernie, watch Milwaukee Bern*, and get annihilated.

Bloomberg? Please.

At this point, all the Establishment can do is get religion and pray for another heart attack.**

Will Explains Bernie Sanders to the Russians

Last summer this columnist wrote that Senator Bernie Sanders would gradually lose support to more intersectionally viable candidates like Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren. Harris is gone, Warren is going, and after winning in Iowa and New Hampshire, Bernie Sanders is the Democrat frontrunner. Panicking establishment Dems point out that Sanders is not yet getting even 30% of the vote. But Sanders is gaining traction. A Yahoo/YouGov poll taken last week showed Sanders defeating each one of his rivals in a head-to-head matchup. This includes former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, whom Sanders defeats 53% to 38%.

Third Race/Fifth Finish: Joe Biden

Alert readers will notice we don't mention Joe Biden in our New Hampshire wrap.

Why?

We've been saying for months (years?) that the Democrat Party of 2020 is not going to nominate an old white guy, at least one not named Bernie Sanders:

In a Democrat presidential race packed with over 20 candidates Joe Biden understandably enjoys massive name recognition. The man has been in public office for nearly 1/5th of American history, long enough to hold positions on controversial issues long forgotten by the public. In the 2010’s he was Barrack Obama’s Vice President. In the 2000s he was a supporter and later opponent of the Iraq War. During the 1990s he authored the Crime Bill. In the 1980s he was a presidential candidate caught plagiarizing speeches from British Labour Leader Neil Kinnock. In the 1970s he was a staunch opponent of forced busing. Joe Biden is a man of many eras. Except the current one. In last month’s debate Biden looked like a lost time traveler from the 1970s. All he was missing were his1970s era haircut and sideburns. Joe Biden’s long public record makes him extremely vulnerable today. 

Keep reading to see our prediction that Bernie would slowly fade. Also, Jews aren't white.

Anyway, you'd have to be a clueless media teleprompter reader in a short skirt to not understand that Biden was never going anywhere, say Katy Tur, or Savannah Guthrie...I dunno. They're not me, that's for sure. Will is usually right. The media is usually wrong.

At this point we guess the important question is where does Biden's support go once he joins Bernie Sanders in having some kind of serious medical event. This blog is betting on a stroke. Needlessly snarky? Sure. Mean? Ok. Possible? The wise observer would put the chances of Ugly Kid Joe stroking out at one in three. One in three are the chances of a brokered convention. These are also the chances Hillary! is the nominee. In her own words she 'feels the urge'.

For 20 years the Dems have been telling themselves that demography is destiny and it is their destiny to be America's natural ruling party for the next generation. Instead they're gonna nominate some aging white geezer with health issues. In 2020 if your candidate has vague memories of the Second World War, they're too old.

So Elizabeth Warren (D, Magollon Rim) says Bernie Sanders (C, Moscow) told her a chick will never be president. When Bernie denied it, Liz accused him of calling her a liar.

Elizabeth Warren is a liar.

This sets up an interesting conflict and conservatives should just layback, let it happen, and enjoy themselves.

Between them Liz and Bernie represent about 60 % of the Democrat base. Warren is the darling of the bi-costal elite. She is by, of and for them, a hyper educated white woman of privilege with lots of policy ideas and money. No wonder the media loves Warren. 

Bernie is of course an old fashioned 1930s era commie beloved by AOC and the rest of the commies in the Democrat Party.  These people loath the Dem establishment and seek to replace it. AOC is already raising money and running candidates against establishment Dems. We think this looming battle has serious repercussions.

The CBS News Battleground Tracker poll of registered Democrats in Iowa shows Sanders in a three way tie for the lead with Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg. All three have 23 percent support among likely caucus attendees. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is in fourth place with 16 percent support, while Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) is in fifth place with 7 percent support. ….The CBS News Battleground Tracker poll of registered Democrats in New Hampshire shows Sanders in the lead with 27 percent support from likely Democrat primary voters, followed by Joe Biden in second place with 25 percent. Warren is in third with 18 percent, followed by Buttigieg with 13 percent and Kobuchar with 7 percent.

Look, people, Joe Biden is not going to be the nominee. Too old, too centrist, too white. At one point we wrote for Inforos that the Dem nominee would be a woman: 

Despite Harris savaging him over ancient racial issues Joe Biden’s supporters are sticking with him. In the latest Emerson Poll taken from July 6th through the 8th Biden still gets 30% of the vote. Thirty percent of the vote is not going to win the Democrat nomination and it’s hard to see how a candidate who is neither black, nor gay, nor female can expand his support in the modern Democrat Party. Other polls show Joe Biden slipping but still in the lead. Over time Bernie’s supporters will migrate to other more intersectionally viable candidates like Harris or Warren. The senator from Vermont will stubbornly hang on and fade away at the same time. Some other candidate will combine her base of support with Bernie’s and eventually surpass Biden. From there she will have to convince American voters that now is the time for 1970’s ideas.

Willie Brown's Mistress is long gone and Elizabeth Warren (D-Redskin Theatre) is, well, Elizabeth Warren. There just isn't enough voters giving her the old Tomahawk Chop. The Dem's are red alright, just not Warren's kinda of red.

No, the heart and soul and more importantly, energy of AOC and the Dem's young Red Guard lies with Bernie Sanders' collectivist farm impulses. Some say open convention. This blog says maybe.

Hillary 2020: Now's Her Time!

Well, Ukraine Joe is finished. The poor old fool just doesn't know it yet. And Bernie Sanders is the victim of either high cholesterol or attempted Arkancide.

Think about it. Those Biden voters will naturally gravitate to Hillary, especially the African Americans, and she might be able to  peel off everyone else's support, Buttigieg, Robert Francis, etc etc. One percent here, and one percent there will add up.

Hillary, a desperate party awaits. It's your turn.

Sanders: I'm Having....Chest Pains!

The AP* reports:

Sen. Bernie Sanders, 78, was hospitalized Tuesday night in Las Vegas. "During a campaign event yesterday evening, Sen. Sanders experienced some chest discomfort. Following medical evaluation and testing he was found to have a blockage in one artery and two stents were successfully inserted," said Sanders’ senior adviser Jeff Weaver on Wednesday in a statement.

We had this, though only one stent, not two, which means two of Bernie's arteries were blocked. Too much corned beef on rye, we guess. As Mark Stroock III used to say, 'Jewish food has killed more Jews than Hitler.'

They put a wire in your wrist and push it all the way up the blood vessel into the blocked artery, you can feel it the whole time. Then they inflate a balloon, which you can also feel, press a button and drop off a steal mesh which cleans out the gook and holds open the artery. 

We felt the blood flowing better, everywhere, if you know what we mean. We felt reinvigorated, sexually.

This is also exactly how socialism works. Back in the good old days of the Soviet Union, as Bernie, the NYTs and AOC would have it, Soviet factories had quotas to meet. If a shoe factory had to make ten thousand pairs of shoes, to ensure they met the quota they'd make ten thousand left foot shoes one month, and ten thousand right foot shoes the next. 

Nobody can say the quota wasn't met.

During the Great Patriotic War, officers could fulfill their mission to say, cross a river, by sending their entire regiment across, where the poor bastards would be annnhilated by the Germans. But the river was crossed. The Order of Lenin Medal was sure to follow.

Bernie's people are doing the same thing here, slashing hours and eventually staff. But nobody can say Bernie isn't paying his saps and suckers $15 an hour.
