Nuking the Veep

Great back to back days at the gym. Weights on Wednesday, running yesterday. We were sore from lifting and approached the treadmill with great humility. The hour went smoothly and pretty quickly.

While running we got in a lot of good thinking about The Weser. We're still not sure just how were going to show the British. We know exactly what we're doing with the 9th East German Panzer Division. Bunch of Kraut tossers. We think we'll need another two weeks to wrap up the American chapter.

We just love waking up and seeing our collusion published: 'It finally happened. On 22 June Senate Republicans used the filibuster to defeat the Democrats HR1, the For the People act. All 50 Republicans voted against ending debate and bringing HR1 to the floor for a vote. HR1 would ban voter ID and mandate mass mailing of absentee ballots, among other provisions. Republicans, many of whom think the 2020 election was stolen, say this will enable mass fraud by Democrats. HR1 would have nationalized American elections and may not even be constitutional. Article II, section 1 of the Constitution says presidential electors will be chosen in a way determined by the state legislatures.' Seriously, Moscow can't get enough of the filibuster. Click our collusion.

Actually, the communists can't get enough of us. We counted, and in the last two years we've written 75 pieces for Inforos. We cover a lot of things, but our main beat is US politics. See young writers, find a beat and cover it. Inforos didn't have anyone like us before we came along. We are Moscow's man on the ground in America and remunerated for our efforts.

What Will's Watching: Extinction. A well executed movie about an alien invasion. Extinction has a great script with characters we cared about. The actual alien invasion is an interesting visual feast. Lots of turns and twists that seem ridiculous at first but make sense at the end. The movie asked you to ponder moral questions, like a good scifi flick. 4/4

The Washington leak-wars have ramped up. Zerohedge tells us: 'Vice President Kamala Harris' office is a toxic, 'abusive' environment where "people are thrown under the bus from the very top,' according to 22 current and former staffers, administration officials and associates of Harris and President Biden. In a Politico exposé reminiscent of a Feb. 2019 New York Times in which over fifty current and former staffers decried her dysfunctional campaign (h/t @mattdizwhitlock), Harris and her Chief of Staff, Tina Flournoy, are slammed for running an office with "low morale, porous lines of communication and diminished trust among aides and senior officials.'

We call BS on leaks out of KAMala's office. This is Biden's people. CoS Ron Klain and 'doctor' Jill are running things. But what's the angle? When Joe goes down, they can't put Jill in charge. Can they? Marginalizing KAMala is one thing, but driving her out, well, that's something else, as Han would say.

So let's think this through. If Klain and Jill force KAMala out, with whom would they replace her? We were about to write that they can't replace a POC with a white woman like Amy Klobuchar, but could they? Dem's don't care about looking like hypocrites. KAMala is toxic. She's not popular. Not only did she not win a single primary, she didn't even win a single vote. KAMala has no constituency. Don't kid yourself. For a variety of complex reasons, women don't like KAMala.  She is the 21st centuries' Andrew Johnson. Not even Willie Brown could save the Veep.

Will's Good Idea for Father's Day 2021

We've figured out the Dems' plan. Joe will die, or be set aside because of the dementia or some such. There may even be a humiliating incident live on camera which the Corporate Media attempts to turn into a sympathetic moment. They'll try to push the agenda through 'for Joe'. Kamala was brought up from Willie Brown's love nest precisely because she is so weak. She is malleable. Ron Klain will be the power behind the White House boudoir.

We are reminded of the Egyptian Army's plea to the Soviets after the Israelis fried their falafel in '67, 'Our general staff has studied your Great Patriotic War. We've lured the Jews into Sinai. Now we wait for winter!'

Kamala will be the weakest president to take the oath of office since Andrew Johnson, a southern Democrat distrusted by southern Democrats, northern Democrats, and the Republicans. There's no there, there. An empty head, a cackling middle aged woman who's had one too many glasses of white wine after yoga. An empty minivan pulled up to the White House and out stepped Kamala.

Dark and foreboding times await. Perhaps they are already here. Still, we agree with the sentiment expressed by Tim Pool and Michael Malice last week. We're pessimistic in the short run, but optimistic in the long.

Yesterday we did some great research for our Apache scenes. We read a memoir (by a Brit Apache pilot actually) and skimmed the US Army field manual. This gives us enough to write intelligently on the gunships. We promise no miracles, but the scenes should be pretty good.

We actually came up with ad-hoc corps' plan of attack. They're attacking with the 8th Infantry Division on the left and the British 4th Armoured Division on right. But the attack is staggered, in echelon. The Americans are going in first to try to draw out the Soviet south, rear flank division for the Brits' to attack. The Brits will make mince meat of them and then, bam, there's the East German 9th Panzer Division. Hello, Jerry! We still need a general to command. We had thought about just having SACEUR do it, but that would preclude us from writing, 'Gentlemen, I've just gotten off the line with SACEUR. He says we're it.' Sounds like the commander should be a limey, no?

Well, it's Father's Day. And tomorrow is our Dad's 75th birthday. One day we'll write about our dad, but that day is not today. We're quite confident we're a good dad. Flawed, but who isn't? The girls get good grades, have friends, are creative, participate in extracurricular activities. Our teenager is, well, 14.

In truth, Mrs. Stroock and we probably spend too much time with the girls. When they were younger, outside time was a family affair. This wasn't about helicoptering, it was about spending time with the kids. They'd play, we'd sit on the stoop with our guitar.  We did Mr. Mom duty with all three. We are an expert on being a stay at home dad. And if we may brag, we took summer 2013 off from teaching to make sure we got baby time in with our newborn. In ten years when they're 24, 21 and 18, we won't regret time not spent, that's for sure.

The Friday Nuke

We did 25 minutes on the treadmill at 4 with the mask on. Tried to do 4.5 but couldn't tough it out. There followed the rope pulley and the rowing machine. We seem to have hit a ceiling with the rowing machine. In 15 minutes we can't get any further than 2,800 meters or so. We'd like to do 3000 but just aren't sure if it's worth it. Hmmm...perhaps a dedicated rowing machine day?

Let's see what's what over at New York City's paper of record...just the mundane details of Killer Andy C. murdering thousands and covering it up: 'Top advisers to Gov. Andrew Cuomo successfully pushed state health officials to omit from a public report the number of nursing home residents who died in hospitals from COVID-19, it was revealed on Thursday night.'

We didn't coin this but we'll say it, 2021 is the year of the three presidents. Just yesterday Willie Brown's girlfriend called the Prime Minister of Israel. Totally normal for the veep to do that. Honestly it's probably for the best. How long would it have taken for Joe to start reminiscing about the banker that sold him his first mortgage being Jewish and how he always admired how the Jews were so good with money. This is one of dozens of calls Kamala has made to foreign leaders. Isn't it obvious that she's making the foreign calls because she's going to be president soon?

In the above link The Times of Israel reports that on the call Bibi told Kamala that Israel will never allow Iran to get a nuke. As this blog has been saying since Bibi addressed congress in 2015, the Israelis will go to war to prevent a nuclear Iran. Back then Bibi mentioned Prime Minister Levi Eschol and the Six Day War. When the Israelis do that, it's like when an American president invokes Lincoln. War is preferable to a nuclear Iran.

We're wondering if the Iranian nuclear program is a gigantic bluff at this point. Hear us out. The Israelis dumped a computer virus into the Iranian system, smuggled out tons of documents and assassinated the head of the nuclear program. What has Mossad pulled off that we don't even know about? For as the Imams say, the Jew is clever.

Inauguration Week Day 4: What the Actual Fuck?

By this blog's count at least three leftlib pundits broke down in tears on air yesterday. Seriously? For Joe Freakin' Biden? Euphoric tears of Joy for President Nap Time? Are they fucking serious? They're Fucking Serious.

They did this before, you know. They did this twelve years ago when the Light Bringer came to Washington from William Ayers' apartment. Barry Soetoro was transformative, remember? He was the one who was going to redeem all our racial sins. Where there was injustice, Barry would bring justice. Where there was sorrow, Barry would bring joy. For he did say that he could lower the seas after winning the Texas Democrat Primary. Hope!

Now here the Dems are again, leg humping a new president. And in very short time they'll lug hump once more, next time over Willie Brown's girlfriend. Ah, we can see it now. Thousands of unfuckable feminist harpies gathering in Times Square and BLM plaza, screeching like teeny bobbers at the Beatles 1965 Shea Stadium concert whilst clad in their pussy-hats. Soon. So soon. This blog puts the over/under at 475 1/2 days.

That just scares the crap out of us. Because those inclined to think the next guy (or gal) in line is sort of a god standing over the country* will also be inclined to think you're sort of the devil, or at least not totally down with the transgendered thing. Either/or. Joe 'you know, the thing' Biden is they're new light bringer. You, we, I, this blog, they're comin' after us, man. Paranoia has never been more justified or reasonable. And if this blog suddenly disappears, just remember that Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself.

The First Saturday Update of 2021

Mrs. Stroock's winter purge continues apace. She went through  the kitchen drawers yesterday like the citizens of a Soviet ag commune wielding rapiers upon fields of grain to meet the harvest quota. We saw some superglue lying on the counter, took it and said, 'We'll just put this over with the other glue in the craft bureau,' to which she replied, 'Do not interfere with my process.' That glare. After 22 years of marriage we should have known better. Rookie mistake, men. What were we thinking?

We're flying the Union Jack to celebrate Brexit and ran up and down the street waving it like a sloshed football hooligan. A dear friend, the Jersey shore boy who got us into flying flags in the mid-90s, suggested we do that with a Klingon flag and bring glory to our neighborhood. And so we shall.

Powerline has some 2021 predictions. So does Legal Insurrection. We think this talk of Joe getting the 25th Amendment treatment is overblown. The Delaware Dunce is nothing more than a vessel, and they'll keep him upright. Speaking of being upright, or not, President Harris would be too risky. She has a mind of her own. Mr. Harris better watch out if Willie Brown is brought onboard.*

We agree the Georgia races are 50/50. That's probably at best. A win will give the party of Jew hater Raphael Warnock the big cheese. But this blog wouldn't hit the panic button. Politics being what it is, the pendulum will swing, and as happened to the incumbent party in '94, '06, '10, and '14, the party of Jeff Davis will be annihilated.** That gives the party of anti-American congresswoman Ilhan Omar two years.

During his first two years, Barry Soetoro and the Dems passed the porkulous and Obamacare. So there's your benchmark. It's hard to get things done even when you control everything. Ask Newt and the 104th Congress. We were there, interning for Senator William V. Roth of Delaware. Oh, the intraparty gridlock. Newt came to loath the freshman firebrands who insisted they live up to their promises. Heh, and Dole hated Newt and the House GOPs.

Across the pond, Boris is back in our good graces for now. It's hard not to be pleased with the deal. We'd give it a B, a B+ even. It seems to this blog that Britain retains some of the economic connections with the EU, but does so as an independent nation. Which means the relationship can always be revised. The political severance is total. The cord is cut, and that is what matters in the long run. We think Brexit could hasten Irish unification and even Scottish independence. Remember Will's phrase for 2021, first slowly than all at once.

On to the things.

World War 1990: Nederland is selling great, just like Three Seas did, in fact. Overall December sales were up by a third over September, October and November, all of which were good months. Well done, we say. Well done indeed. That series is a winner, and we'll crank out novels in that universe once a year for as long as we have ideas.

We sort of inadvertently did the Saturday update yesterday, so consider yourselves updated on The Great Nuclear War of 1975.

On The Final Storm front, we've found the novel's center, as it were, or two centers. Think, the Death Star trench attack. Derivative as hell, of course. But that's fine, the Death Star trench attack was based on The Dam Busters, sometimes shot for shot and beat for beat. As Lemy Kilmeister once said, it's all derivative. We plan on writing a scene per day while he tidy up TGNW75. Also, we've added some Ruski intrigue, 'I am sorry, Comrade Secretary, but I am unable to authentic these launch codes at this time.'

On a side note, we're trying something where we work on this blog and social media posts from the time we wake up till 9. Then we begin writing. We'll see.

*Make your jokes, people. Make your jokes.

**Didn't happen in '98 and '02, so if you enjoy feelings of existential dread, there you go. You're welcome.

Veep Matters

By all accounts Mike Pence vanquished Willie Brown's girlfriend with ease and verve, but in a respectful, friendly Midwestern sort of way. We know Pence won because the media is accusing him of 'masplaining'.  Also, Fox News' Cunt emeritus, Chris Wallace, thinks Harris did fine.

But does Pence's victory matter?

Readers will recall that we've long maintained Veep debates don't matter, ask Dan Quayle.

We've spent a lot of time this week testing our poll thesis. If the polls are right, Trump is toast. Can they all be wrong? So we don't think it's unfair to test our Veep thesis. We say Lloyd Bentsen's humiliation of Dan Quayle didn't matter. But Bush/Quayle was going to win no-matter what. The Federalist's Molly Hemingway tweeted last night that Pence reassured conservative voters in the 2016 Veep debate. Biden beat Ryan in 2012, it is said. That's certainly a correlation. Did Biden's win not help Obama across the finish line? Powerline argues that Veep debates help.

So maybe Pence's steady performance and vociferous defense of the administration's Covid policies reset the narrative and will mark the beginning of the Trump comeback.

Milwaukee Madness and Various

No, we still didn't watch, but this thing sounds like a disaster. Harris did not impress we are told. My friend William Katz has the roundup. Hillary! Hillaried. Obama looked drained and tired. Of course the Dem's are constrained by all the video conferencing and the GOP may have the same problem. We shall see. But the Dem's biggest problem is that their convention is a giant hate-bitchfest. They look like angry, screaming damaged people. Never look like angry, screaming damaged people. You gotta bring more than that to a convention. What the hell do these people stand for? We don't know.

Explaining this thing to the Soviet...er...Russian GRU is going to be interesting.

In our own NJ07 Congressional District, State Senate Minority Leader Tom Kean is taking on incumbent Tom Malinowski. This should be an easy pickup. The Kean name still means something in New Jersey and NJ07 is pink. We've seen a few Kean digital ads and so far, we're not impressed. Lots of soft-focus, working with the other side schpeel and what not. Give it time.

We think we can see the end of The Great Nuclear War of 1975.  We're working on a chapter were Rockefeller is visiting various infrastructure sights, canals, bridges, etc. Engineers are dredging the Rappahannock River in VA and turning Fredericksburg into the next great East Coast port. From there they can truck stuff up and down I-95 and into the interior on I-64. The main issue at this point in 1976 is building the storage and refinery capability to bring oil in from Alaska and the Middle East. They do that, they oughta be able to make it through the winter. Of course there's diminished harvest issues. But again, there's a hell of a lot less people to feed and livestock ought to recover somewhat. We just might have a rough by 21 September.

The more we think about it, the more we like the idea of an opening Caribbean/Central America themed chapter based on the Managua campaign. Maybe.

Also with each day, nay, hour, Palmerston's War makes sense as the project for 2021. Even though we think advertising doesn't work anymore, advertising Palmerston's War in Civil War and British history magazines oughta work. New readers, right? We'll also see.

Whose got Game? Mitch got Game

Yesterday Nancy Pelosi signs the impeachment articles with a dozen gold pens presented on silver platters, hands them out as souvenirs and then has the articles delivered by a Benny Hill Show cast of clowns. Meanwhile Kamala Harris (D- Under Willie Brown's Desk) is caught yucking it up before putting on her fake solemn face.

As Casey Stengel once remarked, 'Can't anybody play this game?'

Meanwhile Cocaine Mitch is promising 'witness reciprocity', Rand Paul (R-from our mother's ancestral homeland of Kentucky) is threatening GOP squishes that if they vote for Dem witnesses he'll force a vote on Hunter Biden, and Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-the Great State of Tennessee. Go Vols!) says the four Democrat Senators running for president should recuse themselves.

That is some serious game, people. If the Senate GOP were an NFL team they'd be 14-2. Slav Level 9.5/10. They're Joe Torre's New York Yankees, Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls, Tom Brady's New England Patriots, Wayne Gretsky's Edmonton Oilers. European reader(s) should feel free to put FIFA references in the comments below.

Bonus: Senator Martha McSally (R-AZ) tells CNN to get fucked.

Will's Articles Past Predictor

From last summer, when we were certain that the Democrat nominee for president would be a *cough* a woman *cough*:
Despite Harris savaging him over ancient racial issues Joe Biden’s supporters are sticking with him. In the latest Emerson Poll taken from July 6th through the 8th Biden still gets 30% of the vote. Thirty percent of the vote is not going to win the Democrat nomination and it’s hard to see how a candidate who is neither black, nor gay, nor female can expand his support in the modern Democrat Party. Other polls show Joe Biden slipping but still in the lead. Over time Bernie’s supporters will migrate to other more intersectionally viable candidates like Harris or Warren. The senator from Vermont will stubbornly hang on and fade away at the same time. Some other candidate will combine her base of support with Bernie’s and eventually surpass Biden. From there she will have to convince American voters that now is the time for 1970’s ideas.
One idea has held up, Biden hasn't expanded his base of support.

Will: Did you hear Kamala Harris dropped out?
Mrs: Stroock: Is she that awful woman from California?

Tulsi to Kamala: Aloha!

So the Democrat Party refuses to nominate a woman of color for president.

Kamala Harris owes her political career to her former married boyfriend, California House Speaker and Mayor of San Francisco Willie Brown. The man stood behind, in front of and atop Harris, and also appointed her to several posts in order that she could build her political resume.

Harris was an extraordinarily disingenuous woman, fake. As California Attorney General she locked up Marijuana users but later bragged about smoking marijuana. She jailed parents due to their truant children. Her campaign engineered numerous 'viral moments' for Harris, but they mostly made her look stupid. 'Dude Gotta go' indeed.

Meanwhile Tulsi Gabbard, who single-handedly took Harris out in one two minute debate rant, is still in the race.

Whose top tier now, bitch?

Fun with the Left...

...or why Trump will win.

Congress-cretin Joaquin Castro doxxes Trump donors in San Antonio.

Kamala Harris wants to send cops to take away people's guns.*

Jerold Nadler** is trying to get his pudgy, sausage fingered hands on Brett Kavanaugh's White House papers, W's White House...WTF is that even about?

A leftist mob showed up at Mitch McConnell's house.

*Just a couple of 'red flags-ha!' we can foresee there...
**We might promote him over Schumer to Worst Jew in America, baruch hashm.

30 % Sane means 70 % Nuts

Two polls out in recent days show Biden holding on to his 30%  with Warren, Bernie and Willie Brown's girlfriend each garnering 15%.

Mayor Pete, the 5th piece of the Dems' Intersectional pentagram gets about 5%. Rainbow dollars do not translate into votes. Their just aren't enough of them. We insist Julian Castro will have his moment.

Biden's shows us exactly what percent of the Democrat Party is sane. These are the desperate, the scared, the panicked. We bet there's a lot of old Dems in the Biden 30, people who remember when the GOP won 5 of 6 presidential elections and had a lock on California. They're scared and they're supporting Biden because he's the closest they can get to Bill or JFK.

Biden 2020's Bob Dole.

The math is not good for Biden. Of course our academic training is history, not mathematics, but we've run the numbers and if Fauxcocahontas, Bernie, and Harris combine they trounce Biden 45-30.

Someone is going to find something else Biden did or said and the race will come down to the socialist trinity. Sorry Bernie, but you're not going anywhere in Ilhan Omar's Democrat party. Soon enough the rest of the losers, we're looking at Bobby Francis, our own Corey Booker*, are going to drop out.

So it's going to come down Liz and Kam.

We can't decide what kind of joke to go with here so we'll just leave it alone.

*Fiercely heterosexual, as Ace likes to say. Remember, Ace is always right. There's no excuse for not reading AoS everyday.

Harris Mounts Biden

Via NBC, Kamala Harris is grappling with Joe Biden to see who'll be on top.:
Sen. Kamala Harris of California has catapulted into a virtual tie with former Vice President Joe Biden in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination — and she'smade significant inroads with black voters — following her widely praised debate performance last week, a new national poll released Tuesday showed.

The latest Quinnipiac University poll of Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters showed Biden with 22 percent support and Harris with 20 percent — a double-digit jump for her since the university's previous poll last month.

Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Bernie Sanders of Vermont were in third and fourth place in the poll, with 14 percent and 13 percent, respectively. Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana, was in fifth, with 4 percent support
It seems black voters are leaving Joe for Kamala. We suspect this has more to do with Harris's general exposure rather than her busing schpeel. Nobody likes busing.

So we have a designated black candidate*, a designated old white lady candidate - Fauxcahontas, and a designated gay candidate - mayor Pete**. All that remains is for the designated Latinx*** candidate to emerge and we'll be set, intersectionally speaking.

*Harris's father is Jamaican and mom is Indian. She's not African American.
**Pete's not going away. Check out his fundraising haul. He's getting some serious rainbow dollars.
***Holy-fuck, spell check recognizes Latinx. These are the end of days.

Hey Harris: Bus You!

In last week's debate Kamala Harris attacked Joe Biden for opposing forced busing. Breitbart:
“And it was not only that, but you also worked with them to oppose bussing,” Harris told Biden in what was the night’s signature moment. “And you know, there was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools, and she was bussed to school every day. And that little girl was me. So, I will tell you that on this subject, it cannot be an intellectual debate among democrats. We have to take it seriously. We have to act swiftly.”
For foreign and younger readers who are wondering what the hell Harris is talking about, forced busing was the attempt by the courts to desegregate public schools by busing students away from their own local schools to schools across town.

Segregated schools were enshrined by the 1897 Plessy vs Ferguson case which OK'd 'separate but equal' schools.

The forced busing battles raged throughout the 60s, 70s and even into the 80s. The practice destroyed entire school districts. The Boston case is the most notorious but there were hundreds of others.

In the prog imagination forced busing involved bringing black kids to white schools, ala Little Rock but more often involved busing white kids to black schools.

Nobody liked forced busing then, nobody likes it now. This from 1999. Eighty-two percent want to stay put.

When asked if Harris still supports forced busing a spokesmen replied, 'Yes.'

By the way, Powerline* reports Ms. Harris's own school integration story is...exaggerated?...embellished?:
It seems clear that Harris would have attended an integrated school absent busing. The Times describes Harris’s neighborhood as “more diverse [and] less affluent” than the neighborhood to which she was bused. Because the neighborhood was racially diverse, the local school would have been too. As I had speculated, busing was not required for Harris to attend a racially integrated school.
This is not quite Hillary dodging snipers on the Tarmac, yet.

Harris has created a major headache for herself. We can't wait till she's asked if, as president, she'll issue executive orders on forced busing. This will go on for weeks and will help define her for the general. The dumpster dive on her story should be fun too!
*No excuse for not reading Powerline. None.

The Dem's Bench, Viable

Way out in California, so long as it remains part of these United States, the Democrats have a very viable and gifted candidate. We refer of course to the state's junior senator, the talented and lovely we must admit Kamala Harris.

Of course Harris benefited greatly from her relationship with California Assembly Speaker Willie Brown. The two were a hot item for some time and brown oversaw her appointment to several state boards in the early 1990s.

Since then she's served in a variety of legal posts culminating with the state AG position. This she parlayed into a Senate seat.

Her views are utterly conventional for the Democrat Party and uninteresting. But what is interesting about Senator Harris is her background. She's black and Indian. Coupled with her womanhood, this is a three-fer for the Democrat Party. Check, check and check. If Harris 'comes out' during the next few years we'll know she's serious about 2020.
